Champions League Draw | Full Bracket (p14)

Who do you want in the Last 16 (& which side of the draw do you want for the QF tie)?

  • Total voters
    252
  • Poll closed .
The Arsenal league game is the weekend after a possible QF second leg should we get through the round of 16.
First leg (home) 7/8 April
Chelsea (away) 11/12 April
Second leg (away) 14/15 April
Arsenal (home) 18/19 April

Ah that's fair thought it fell in between, in that case probably a toss of a coin between Bayern and Arsenal.

Have decided I do want us to play Bodo after all. Would rather go out as part of their fairytale than have to deal with going to the fucking Bernabeau again this season.

We'll get the white cunts again and you know it, unless the prick Mourinho has something up his sleeve.

Firstly, all of these absurdly vain and childish footballers who speak with their hands over their mouths should automatically receive 3 match bans and be told in no uncertain terms to get a fucking grip of themselves

And if it can be proved that the accused made a racist comment he should be banned for life - sets a precedent and acts as a real deterrent.
I agree to some extent
I think the media has a lot to answer for
I think it’s unfair that they zoom in on private player conversations say for example 2 rival England international players having a chat after a game
They then employ lip readers - I think this is unacceptable and partly responsible for them covering their mouth's
However regarding the banning for racist behaviour it should definitely be a very lengthy ban
For life seems excessive but certainly one season at the very least

Because his defence is that he made a homophobic insult, not a racist one. Not sure that one is less disgusting than the other. So he’s getting a ban whatever and EUFA keeping him off the pitch for this game, for once, is correct.
He should have just called him a spoilt mard arse for not accepting that Rodri deserved the Ballon d’Or more than a diving twat.
Fair enough I missed the homophonic bit

Checked this morning
Bristol to Madrid return with EasyJet £80

So based on price on everything, and the ability to get a ticket for the game, as well as the fact we beat them last time :0)

I would prefer RM, in the last 16??
You will potentially have to be quick booking.
Theres a 50% chance Liverpool will also be playing in madrid at the same time .

To add to this, this is what we're currently looking at:

Arsenal v Leverkusen or Dortmund (beating Atalanta 2-0 on agg, away tonight)
Bayern v Leverkusen or Dortmund (beating Atalanta 2-0 on agg, away tonight)
Liverpool v Atletico or Galatasaray (beating Juventus 5-2 on agg, away tonight)
Spurs v Atletico or Galatasaray (beating Juventus 5-2 on agg, away tonight)
Barcelona v Newcastle or PSG (beating Monaco 3-2 on agg, home tonight)
Chelsea v Newcastle or PSG (beating Monaco 3-2 on agg, home tonight)
Sporting v Bodo/Glimt or Real Madrid (beating Benfica 1-0 on agg, home tonight)
City v Bodo/Glimt or Real Madrid (beating Benfica 1-0 on agg, home tonight)

Best draw probably looking something like this:
L16: Bodo/Glimt
QF: Arsenal/Leverkusen
SF: Spurs/Galatasaray or Chelsea/Newcastle
F: Bayern/Dortmund, Liverpool/Atletico, Barcelona/PSG, Sporting/Real Madrid

I think there's an argument to play Arsenal in the QF.

Obviously them and Bayern are interchangeable.

1 game to be confirmed:

Arsenal v Leverkusen or Atalanta
Bayern v Leverkusen or Atalanta
Liverpool v Atletico or Galatasaray/Juventus (Currently ET)
Spurs v Atletico or Galatasaray/Juventus (currently ET)
Barcelona v Newcastle or PSG
Chelsea v Newcastle or PSG
Sporting v Bodo/Glimt or Real Madrid
City v Bodo/Glimt or Real Madrid

There's an argument that the Madrid game is easier than than the Bodo game.

Depends on who they have back from injury though.

I think tonight, along with the league stage just shows how wide open the competition is this year.

There's a genuine chance for most teams to go and win it. I'm sure some will find an extra level, I wouldn't have called PSG winning it at this stage last year, but I don't fear anyone.

Bodo would be preferable purely to avoid Real for once. Will see what happens beyond that.

Not a chance.

Real look average for their standards, but they have some world-class players and will be up for it. We'll be favourites against them, but it would be better to play Bodo.

Inter had 30 shots last night and 45 over both legs. Bodo were a bit lucky.

I'm pretty confident we can beat Real.

Bodo gave us the worst battering in a couple of years, they could genuinely have scored 6.
And we could have scored 6, and we had 10 men for half an hour.
If we’re genuinely worried about Bodo over 2 legs, then maybe we should play the second team and concentrate on the League Cup…
