Who do you want in the Last 16 (& which side of the draw do you want for the QF tie)?

For a number of years I have always wanted the CL even over the PL simply because winning it frequently is something that really elevates us as a top team in my opinion.

This year more than happy to sack if off if it means we can win the league. Let Arsenal run themselves ragged in all competitions, have the midweek off where we can and get the energy to go and win our remaining league games and take the title.

We will be in better shape next season subject to injuries to challenge on all 4 fronts but I think we see to much of a decline in performance when certain players are missing and flogging them could impact our league form.

Other than putting the ball in the net I thought we were much better. Alleyne had a couple of bad moments which cost us but even with 10 men we were creating plenty of chances.

The side we picked that day is nothing like the one we would be able to now. Guehi, Dias and Nunes all come in. Bernardo and Semenyo come in. We would beat them comfortably.
 
When did we have an easy draw last you look at Villa last season spurs this season Arsenal this season! The teams we had to beat to win champs league was incredible too! This AI draw will be given the rags an easy draw!

We should know that a few hours after the draw. I expect the dates for the round of 16 games will be confirmed sometime on Friday afternoon.
 
I voted for Real initially because I think we can beat them but reading through the comments I have had a rethink. If it's Bodo and it will be over 2 legs and with our players back we should be fine. They are still a bit of an unknown and we still have to play on that plastic pitch but we will be at home for the second leg. I don't fear Real though.

Fucking great loads of half and half Madrid scarves probably £65 a ticket as well, thank god I’m fucking off the CL scheme next year.

I don't mind the last 16 being seeded, let's say teams earn that in the league phase.

The quarter final onwards should be random. I thought UEFA would want this as it's less boring and they're all about 'entertainment'. I see a world where they go back to this in the next 5 years.

Oh, I'm confident we can beat them over two legs, no doubt. I just hate playing in that fucking stadium with all the crying and playacting and diving and booing and the 90,000 people who seem to think Madrid have a divine right to win every football match they play. As others have said, if we had to play Madrid in the league or if we had to play Madrid every month or so, I'd just watch a different sport.

You know what give me Real Madrid and we'll absolutely fuck them up over two legs.

To win the thing you need to beat the best so let's get them out of the way :-)

The competition is so poor tho anybody could win it, even Bodo on their recent showings.

Honestly think we can win it. If we don't please not Arsenal ffs lol. I hate Bayern but would absolutely love for Kompany to become victorious :-)
 
Just looking at our head to head record against Real Madrid and we've played them 15 times (since 2012!), more than any other English club.

Not surprising. If you’re in the CL as consistent as we are, and consistently reach the latter stages (including winning it), you have to face the best, which they have been throughout.

Put it this way, it’s better than not being involved with the CL and the highlight of a season is a rare victory over the rags, like it used to be.
