Champions League Draw | Full Bracket (p14)

Who do you want in the Last 16 (& which side of the draw do you want for the QF tie)?

I am more concerned about the side of the draw than the Madrid game itself. It gives us a horror route to the final with hardly a chance to breathe. What impact does that have on the PL campaign? In comparison, Arsenal could find some of the their 2nd leg ties a foregone conclusion. A terrible, terrible draw for us.

Alright, fine. Bring them on. We'll do them over two legs.

Might see if I can find some Valium for the first leg though. Fuck sitting through more of that shite.

Yes it could but it still doesn’t change my mind this time.

Their (English) opponents will have much more difficult games before and after the respective legs, PSG can completely concentrate on the CL and rotate as much as they want.

Arsenal pretty much can rotate and relax their players for the PL on these CL games while we need to give our best pretty much. same if we qualify for next round.

Just found the regulation;
If two or more clubs from the same city, within a radius of 50km of each other and/or playing in the same stadium, take part in any of the UEFA club competitions, and if the association and the clubs concerned explicitly declare when entering the clubs that their matches cannot be played on the same day or on consecutive days, the UEFA administration may alter or confirm dates and kick-off times in accordance with the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee.

The worst part is Arsenal can rest key players before our game in April, whereas we can't (if we beat Real).

Arsenal drew to Wolves and Brentford last week. There's no easy draws if you're in that form and they can't afford to rest and rotate players in the PL because they're never far away from one of those games.

We will see. I don’t rate PSG this season. I think Chelsea is a toss up. I think Liverpool would beat them.

PSG only 2 points ahead of Lens right now but I don’t see that as a huge factor either way.

So predictable. Fucking joke, really. One side of the draw absolutely stacked with good teams and the other far weaker. Arsenal gifted a semi spot. But whatever, it's always the same in the CL. If you want to be the best you need to beat the best. We're hitting form at the right time, Real have looked poor all season, PSG aren't quite what they were, and I think Pep can outthink Vinny as well. All winnable games, but no point thinking too far ahead, let's just enjoy the ride.

Need to bin the FA Cup, play the reserves against the Geordies, can't be arsed.

They're about as tough as each other.

PSG, Liverpool, City, and Bayern on one side.
Barcelona, Atleti, Sporting/Bodo, and Arsenal on the other side.

Arsenal might get a slightly more comfortable QF draw but they'll still go strong and the games are still awkward. The SF will hit them hard like it hits everyone hard.

I imagine City will kick off if they try this. The whole point of being the seeded side is to get the advantage.
