Interesting. Were Pep's Bayern that good? They always get diss'd for not winning the Chumps League.
I also have a lot of respect for the AC Milan team with the three Dutch stars - they were so strong in all areas.
Also do you consider that 2023 team to be Pep's best City team? I think it was the Centurions team but maybe they were just more exciting.
 
This fixture is so boring UEFA aren't even hiding their blatant shit lol.
 
Utterly relieved to avoid Bodo Glimt. Real Madrid are shite, we beat them at the Bernabeu in the middle of a horror run of form. Nothing to fear from them whatsoever.

I think that was if they drew each other and it fell in order that scouse were the home team again as that would be three successive Liverpool v Madrid fixtures at anfield. They could have drawn them away and the fixture would have stayed.

I'd rather do an away day in Tehran than Spain at this point. Know 3 lads this year who've ended up in hospital from being assaulted. They despise the English wouldn't give em a bean.

If we had won or lost to Madrid we would be playing a difiiferent team now. This year and last year we finished right beside them in the league phase.
Both teams have been so successful over the last decade and so have qualified for champions league.

But that was RM minus Mbappe and multiple first choices, I think. They are usually more vulnerable in group matches, as well.

Nevertheless, we just have to approach this as a chance to beat Madrid 3 times in a single season. Their defence can be leaky, too.

Or maybe it’s just how the draw has panned out.
