Denton and Gorton by-election - Green Party wins

In you case it's the court of public opinion. As you rightly state it is a football forum so try posting something about football.
I’ll post what I want until told otherwise by the moderating team thank you.

You should drop the ad hominem attacks and try and form some sort of point. Obviously incapable of doing so.

It was a coincidence, I was banned for something unrelated lol. Don’t know when I was allowed back but I came on to read years later about whether we were getting Guehi or not and accidentally logged back in.

I’ll keep my response to Greens and their campaign, to keep it on topic as MES requested anyway… the Greens can campaign for whatever policy they want (as we’ve seen with some of the loopy shit they’ve come out with), what I think is very poor is how they brought Gaza in as a point scoring position against a Labour Government that isn’t to blame, we’re not an active participant and yes, they did:

Gov.Uk
Lol. All you have to bring to the table is a government statement with one big obvious caveat in the middle of it.

You make it sound like a sizeable chunk of the population is as wilfully ignorant as you.

As for using Gaza as a 'point scoring position' ... that is one big glass house you are throwing them stones from.

Well done to the greens.
I'm unsure about their manifesto or ambition but at least they have shaken the legacy parties from their complacency.
Just the written media to tackle now......
Agree good news. The next election is going to be a pluralist one and that gives some hope that a hung parliament will lead to electoral reform as the price of coalition government

Lib Dems?

Yes, other constituencies, they’re the equivalent of the greens in this one. The next election is going to be a lot of people wanting to both keep reform out and also not vote for the two main parties if they don’t have to. The greens and the Lib Dem’s are going to be the main winners in that depending on the constituency, or at least think now they are.

Got a feeling by the time the GE comes round though, a lot might go to Labour from the both of them.

It’s not court mate, we’re on a football forum. Anyway, here you go, I don’t agree with all of these but they are examples of those things I’ve said:
  • VAT on Private School Fees
  • Windfall Tax on Energy Companies
  • Strengthening Workers’ Rights (Employment Law Reform)
  • Rail Renationalisation
  • Planning Reform to Override Local Opposition
  • Crackdown on Water Company Bonuses & Pollution
  • Higher Minimum Wage Commitments
  • Ending Non-Dom Tax Status

Pretty sure some of those haven't happened?

Edit - it seems I'm wrong, although rail isnt completely renationalised and Water company bonuses have only really been cracked down on in theory.

No, I could have brought a lot more to the table in terms of backing up that statement but I thought the official statement would do.

I haven’t used Gaza as a point scoring position. I’ve generally kept it separate to my views on domestic policies, so I don’t get your glass houses point.

I see there’s still an issue on this forum with people not willing to chat in good faith, it’s all innuendo and ad hominem attacks. I get it, a lot of you think the same in this sub forum and gang up, but it’s healthy to find people who don’t agree with you.

Good to see democracy is alive and kicking, and our proclivity for debate is back. It seemed that the country had fallen asleep and allowed the aristocracy, elites and establishment to do whatever they wanted.

Seems to me that the fine people of East Manchester are waking the country up.

Jake Berry (ex-Con, now Reform) really is something you'd regret stepping in.

His leading line of "12% of votes were illegal family voting" was promptly factchecked by pretty much everyone else as "12% of those witnessed" which is very different, but he went with his misleading anyway.

I wonder how long Reform are going to bang on with this 'the Muslim vote/family voting'.

I haven't seen an explanation of how these alleged incidents were observed.

The more they show themselves, the greater the chance of people understanding. Today was one of those days.
