Leeds United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

It’s a win but we were bang average. Creating chances still seems to be a problem and we definitely missed Big Erl. Not sure what Marmoush offers. Cherki was pure class. He’s an absolute joy to watch.

That’s the word that always crops up with us doesn’t it? BBC Radio 5 Monday Night Club, BBC Tv, Sky Sports Sunday Supplement, Times footy podcast, Athletic podcast, Talksport “experts”.
Every fucking week they use that word in relation to us.
We probably don't get it as much as we're Blues and we still think in the worst terms. However, I've spoken to a Liverpool fan in work who said he knows how Arsenal feel - he said when Liverpool were in title races with us it was absolutely relentless and energy sapping.

Barely again. What happened to us being convincing? Imagine Chelsea away with this kind of football.
I don't understand why we let the opposition have a barrage of attacks in the last 10 minutes of every game.
Chelsea away is easier. They are weak mentally

A well-earned 3 points and dug deep to keep the fight going

Why, i dont know, i keep hoping to see the treble winners blow teams away and passing the ball around the park and City scoring 4 or 5 ?

But this new look City is patchy and sluggish at times, but when we learn and start to put in 90 minutes and control the ball better, then the sky is the limit for this team, But for now the 3 points is all that matters

Very professional performance I thought. Leeds are decent at home and never looked like scoring after we weathered the early pressure from them.

No mate they will lead on the Leeds fans booing a Ramadan break. I really, really object to any interference with football from either religious or political perspective though. Before anyone replies with "they've been fasting all day", well that's their choice and should not impact on a game of football which should be neutral for all people to watch.
I get your point about religion shouldn’t interfere with sport, but dehydration can seriously fuck you up, I would rather a quick break than a player keel over. That’s the stark choice.

Out of interest, when was their last shot on target in the game? Felt like they didn’t actually create anything (thanks to the defensive brilliance of the side) and did a lot of huffing and puffing without any real substance.

A real testament to our team.

Massive 3 pts
Grinding it out in a tricky away fixture
Well done blues
