Went for leisure about 7 years ago with a friend who was Lebanese. Also went about ten years ago but for skiing. Again the apres ski was excellent.I believe before the lumber going back to the 70’s it was a fantastic place, remember seeing an English old boy on TV who refused to leave (as advised) saying a bit of trouble wasn’t going to ruin his life!
Obviously got its mojo back, be an interesting place to visit, did you go for leisure or work?
The fuck you tagging me for you mental?>> can they bottle that and do something to gain control?
It's extremely unlikely.
If you're hoping for some sort of magical regime change just because the side with all the guns lost its leader... you're as deranged as @SWP's back.
Agree with most of this... except that it's perfectly clear what's going to happen next. The side with all the guns will coalesce in support of another leader with all the guns... and said leader is going to use guns to kill all disenter until all citizens support the new regime - no matter how many deaths this requires. It is perfectly understandable that people are glad to see the death of the head of a murderous regime and have empathy for what the Iranian people have had to suffer.
However, this is an opportunistic attack that has ignored international and domestic law, by a man who has deliberately hollowed out almost all meaningful strategic capabilities and restraint in his government and by another man who has led his country into rogue nation territory. It has been done without the support of the international community, little to no infrastructure seems to be in place for what happens next and if there is a strategy beyond destabilisation of the existing regime it is entirely unclear. All this has happened in arguably the most febrile part of the world. There is no cause for celebration at this point in time because it's entirely unclear how this is going to play out for the Iranian people or anyone else. The track record of the belligerents gives no cause for comfort and we can only hope some saner nations can help find a route to de-escalation.
They’re doing two things. Firstly, attacking US assets in the only way they can, by targeting US air and naval bases in the gulf. Much of the shit falling from the sky is a result of intercepted missiles and drones.Didn’t they attack Dubai airport ?
I wasn't asking as a comparison but pointing out that we shouldn't because it's against International law, without which we are in the mire.Has Trump killed 30-40 thousand of his own people over the last few weeks? If the answer is no then it's a no we shouldn't?

People seem to be quite happy with targeted assassinations as long as the recipient is brown, has a beard and wears robes rather than a suit.
The guy just killed cut his chops defending his country against cuddly Sadaam Hussein who was backed by the US and Britain, until he wasn't. And it is that last phrase that sums up Western foreign policy in a nutshell.
Khamenei said, 'If the Americans start a war this time, it will spill over and engulf the entire region.' And he has kept his word. They’re doing two things. Firstly, attacking US assets in the only way they can, by targeting US air and naval bases in the gulf. Much of the shit falling from the sky is a result of intercepted missiles and drones.
Secondly, they’re wanting to put as much pressure as possible on the US administration politically by making the Gulf states hosting those bases pressure the US into stopping. It’s already worked in a way as Qatar, Oman, The UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi have all forbade the US from launching airstrikes from those bases (hence the two carrier groups in the region).
This will turn out to be another monumental Trump fuck up.
I don’t see anything good coming from it.
And I suspect the US and Israel have agents embedded in Iran and spend a lot of money supporting the opposition. So what's your point?Iran has been funding anti American and anti Israeli groups for decades, how do you think that they would respond? You might not agree with it but there it is.

There are some people who were they to die I'd celebrate with a seriously good glass of wine. Benjamin Netanyahu being top of the list.
I don't think anyone on here is suggesting that Mr Kirk was in that category and deserving of execution. On the other hand like a lot of religious people he held some pretty unpleasant beliefs. Whilst Christ seemed a decent bloke many of his followers are homophobic, ultra nationalist, extremely right wing and so on.
I think the world took a wrong step with monotheism and the cultures it spawned.

I think it is pretty obvious that Putin has something on himMaybe.
Maybe not.
Who knows?
Could turn really ugly if the US carrier takes a hitIran attacking the aircraft Carrier now! Let’s hope their defences work!
And I think that Trump is an egomaniac, all about self, who admires strong men, and who is going to engage in legal warfare against whoever opposes him.I think it is pretty obvious that Putin has something on him
Well done searching for that and digging out a quote that is not explicitly calling for Netaynahu's execution. And your favourite assassination victim is?
I'm sure it was fully expected.Iran attacking the aircraft Carrier now! Let’s hope their defences work!
