Win the Coca Cola cup and we win the league, these brittle lot won’t recover
I agree. It's quite ironic that they've turned into the team they used to always complain about,Stoke, with a couple of decent players. They are very nervous and reliant on set pieces.
The tolerance of referees towards foul play in their attacking and defensive set pieces has risen to an unprecedented level. That is sustaining them and it will probably remain vital to them through this season.
BollocksIs the correct answer and has been for some time.
If we do go out to Madrid, it gives us a big advantage in the league.Yeah I think two legs against Madrid is a tall ask for this squad at its phase in development....dont think it has the quality in it yet.
If you told me told right now that if we got knocked out by Madrid meant we won the league I would 100% take thatIf we do go out to Madrid, it gives us a big advantage in the league.
There are just too many games left for the 6 teams left in CL plus the FA Cup to gauge what squad is best suited to winning the PL and the top 5.

Tbh, it's home game games where they have come unstuck in previous title races. Drawing 3-3 with Southampton, losing 2-0 Villa, 3-0 to Brighton.Didn’t see them dropping points at wolves either
Welcome to a title race. There are zero easy matches a it’s about who can hold their nerve and handle pressure best.
This is something Arsenal have proved they are not very good at
Potentially they could, in reality it's unlikely. Those points we pissed away at the start of the year and against the rags have left us (in my opinion) needing to be perfect. I hope I'm wrong.Bollocks
Arsenal could potentially drop points in any of those fixtures
They played liverpool off the park at home. Will be very different for them on the road especially at our place.I think if they win at Brighton they'll end up getting it over the line. Everybody looked at the Chelsea and Brighton games where we thought they'd drop points and they've got through one of them. There again Wolves showed is no game can be 100% prediced. Forest is a banana skin for us, they're playing well and have been a bit unlucky lately. They played Liverpool off the park.
I know you can't really predict games but our run in on paper is tougher. Chelsea and Everton away, Brentford and Villa at home are four very hard games. If Arsenal are still ahead of us when we play them they will shitehouse a draw at least. The City of old would have done this, i just feel with bedding in all the new players this season might just be a bit early to do it.

Big difference with Arsenal though - while City hadn't won a title race before in 2012, we hadn't lost one either.United had 20 years of big game experience in 11-12 and every day we'd have Carrick/Scholes/Rooney/Giggs reminding us that City had never faced this type of pressure
Didn't stop them from losing at Wigan or conceding late goals at home to Everton.
Similarly, we exited the CL after losing to Lyon and English clubs who finished below us in the PL, but then did the treble via the most difficult route possible
No point in looking beyond the next game
Otherwise we'd all be winning thousands every week at the bookies
Madrid are certainly no pushovers, especially with their shit house tactics. However, I still fancy us to go through as their team minus Bellingham and Militao is nothing special.Yeah I think two legs against Madrid is a tall ask for this squad at its phase in development....dont think it has the quality in it yet.
Not disputing that mate, but there's still an assumption that all it needs is Arsenal to drop a few more points and we'll be Champions.Big difference with Arsenal though - while City hadn't won a title race before in 2012, we hadn't lost one either.
We had no experience to draw on but crucially we also had no trauma from past losses to haunt us, only Mancini's ability to just about manage the emotional basics of winning a league (from his experience in Serie A). Since their last title in 2004, Arsenal have thrown it away in 2008, 2014, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
2008 - top after 29 games, finished 3rd
2014 - top after 24 games, finished 4th
2023 - top after 33 games, finished 2nd
2024 - top after 36 games, finished 2nd
2025 - won five of their last 12 games
They have a big reputation for not getting it over the line - especially with this set of players under this manager - and it will be playing on their minds whenever the chips are down. It'll get to the fans especially. Nervy moments are part and parcel of a title race and there is strong evidence that Arsenal can't cope with them.
