Obviously Brits can and do live in Dubai for all sorts of reasons — my question was how the poster in question would determine they were there only for tax reasons and none other, and therefore justify (in his mind) the UK not protecting those particular citizens there?

The government should absolutely do what's needed to protect its citizens abroad, I have no qualms about that.

Well google did put most encyclopedias out of business.. but that's not the issue.

There's 2 types of people.. those that seek knowledge and those that hate it want to impose their will by burning all knowledge to reset the narrative.

I live in Dubai to improve my living conditions, travel opportunities and financial situation - something living in the UK could not afford me to do.

Believe it or not, most people here would pay for their flight to leave if necessary and when possible - stop crying over your tax contributions and have a little humanity for people caught up in conflict all over the world that they have no part in.

Our boss is out there now on holiday our small firm paid 2 million in direct tax last year is it alright by you if some of it’s used to assist British subjects out there.

It's been a massive tactical error, Trump said earlier the people they wanted to take over have already been killed.
