Last Film You Saw

Monty Python’s The Holy Grail - I remember watching this with my dad as a kid and just howling with laughter and it was only the titles at the beginning! (Jokes about Swedish Moose and Ralph the wonder llama).
Still a very funny film all these years later; the argument between Arthur and Dennis the socialist about ‘farcical aquatic ceremonies being no basis for a system of government’ is genius stuff.
It does drag towards the end though and the actual ending is still shite.
Got a huge pile of ironing to do this afternoon so gonna put Meaning Of Life on and see if it’s still as disappointing now as it was when it came out.

I tried to re watch meaning of life a few years ago, couldn't get through it, it's still as bad.

Just watching Joker: Folie a Deux while waiting for the football. Have tried watching it several times, trying to see some redeeming feature in it. And, yet again, I've failed. To quote a legend, it's a bag of shite. I wasn't gone on the earlier one (just couldn't warm to the "hero" (?) at all), but it's a masterpiece in comparison to the sequel.

My opinion of Meaning of Life has improved over the decades, but it still drags compared to their other films. The biggest mistake they made on release was putting that Crimson Permanent Assurance trailer into it. It’s awful and slows the whole things to a crawl before it’s even started. If you can watch the film without that, it’s much better.

I think Eric Idle was right when he said the film should’ve ended with the French waiter who says he’ll show the meaning of life, takes them on a long walk then tells them to fuck off. It was the perfect ending.

Watched The Big Short, bit complicated for my limited intelligence, but the underlying message of how the hoi poloi/ rich bankers screwed millions of people for their own benefit is clear to see.

The Time Machine.

Great film, one of my favourites.
Found an interesting video on it.

That was a good watch. The machine itself certainly was beautiful. Interesting to see how many of the crew went onto bigger things.

Might check out a few of the other videos of that channel.

Greenland 2. Shame as i enjoyed the first one but this was truely shocking. One of the worst sequels ive seen in a very long time. Feels like films are mainly a thing of the past now.

Second time round it won't be. In essence this was a business venture between organised crime and opportunistic investment houses
