US & Israel attack Iran

question for military-types please...

I notice much has been made of munitions and supplies thereof, and that one side or another will soon exhaust their arsenals – so can I ask (sorry if it appears dumb) why don't the Yanks/Israelis, bombard Iran with unarmed, inert or hollow missiles/bombs etc, in a bid to use up Iran's supplies asap?

Iran will have missiles and drones that they can go on the offensive with. They won't really have anything useful that could intercept anything incoming.

Let's say 70,000 were killed in Gaza. About 20-25k of those were direct or indirect combatants and about another 15k would have died anyway, from disease or other natural causes, according to the normal death rate over the period since October 2023.

That leaves about 30-35k civilian deaths due to Israeli action, which is maybe 1.5% of the Gaza population. There are another 3m Palestinians living in the West Bank. While all those deaths are regrettable (and were unnecessary) If this was truly about race, and an intent to exterminate Gazans, do you not think that figure would have been much, much higher?

I can’t believe you posted that with matter of fact numbers, that like saying 6 million Jews didn’t die then by Nazi hands as around 100k wouldve died normally, see how that sounds, it’s ridiculous you use that sort of arguement, maybe it’s not higher because the pressure from the rest if the world was telling, if we turned a blind eye no doubt Israel leadership would quite happily wipe the people of Gaza out.

Iran's Air defence is non-existant. It ceased to exist after about half an hour on the first day - so launching &/or dropping decoys is are a waste of time and effort.
