A bit unfair that, seems a genuine mistake in anger from a young lad, clearly wasn't aimed as a slur, or to be homophobic in any way. Right to be banned as a lesson learnt but no more than that.

If I had a pound for every time someone or something got called gay when I was at high school in the 80s I could have retired even earlier! I guess things are different these days.

Yes agree, they are different and in some ways good and in some ways bad. I feel this situation is similar to the that type of situation in the 80s.

“Clearly wasn’t aimed as a slur”?
So what was the point of the comment?
OK It wasnt a homophobic slur. He was firing back for being wound up about his dad and brother, we can all understand in what context he meant it. Its playground stuff, hes got a ban to remind him of his responsibilities, thats it for me nothing more move on.

You really mean it don’t you?
Cretin!

I'm beginning to think that the PL have lost the case and they're just doing whatever they want before it all burns down around them.

Some of the shit we watched this season by the match officials in their games
