Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

I only thing I’ll hold onto is Arsenal typically drop points in the games you don’t expect them too. However City are going to drop more points too.

Yep. We have to be perfect from now on. And even that won't be enough if Arsenal only drop points against us. We'll be one point short. And anyway, we will drop points in the next 9 games; it's almost inevitable. 13 points frittered away from winning positions now, and if* games finished at HT, we'd be 13 points clear of Arsenal.

*Yes; the words "auntie", "balls" and "uncle" do indeed spring to mind.

Yep. I don’t see after last night us winning every game left. I think we look very vulnerable when only a goal up and when we play the likes of Villa, Arsenal and Chelsea we could be in trouble.

As much as I fuckin despise the scouse cunts, I’ll give them credit under klop they always came to the etihad & gave it a go, unlike these shithouses who put 10men behind the ball nearly every time & celebrate a draw, they’ll likely pip us to the title & celebrate being the worst team since Leicester to win the prem, shows just how far the standards have dropped this season, us in our prime would’ve finished 20pts in front of this “decent” arse side, they’ll never achieve our “elite” levels, reality check for them

Thats the point should they go on to win it it will be down to time wasting dark arts football rather than what a champion should be and thats winning with style ..............i mean i do get all the dark arts shit if your near the bottom as shit as it is but a team with all that talent being asked to to that ............ pretty poor really ......... still the flipflop fan base will lord over it until it goes wrong when magically they will then pull it to bits .

Still sadly i think they will win it if they they where gonna drop any points it was over the last 3 games which they havent.

Still if the go on to win the thing history will show they where champions but forgetable ones at that

30minutes? What are we doing?

Fucking depressing. Football is supposed to be a form of entertainment and a relief for people spending their hard earned money on watching it. Not being forced to watch this turgid drivel.

I’ve just seen a video where a commentator says Gabriel buying a foul was “so well executed” and “brilliant”.

Football is in the shitter. Compare to the football us and Liverpool have been producing for years.

That... doesn't sound right. The stats on this seem very mixed up.

It's total restart time last night. 1851 on delays is over 30mins.

Their average was slightly lower than usual but over 30mins of the game last night was Arsenal getting the ball back in play.

Things like David Raya going down 'injured' 3 times adding to it.

And it seems that, out of the 289 games to have been played in the PL this season (which means there are currently 578 rows of data in this table) Arsenal barely made the top 50% in terms of delays, which means 194 teams are above them? Feels weird to bringing it up in this context.

195 teams have taken longer across games on average but that could be a team with just 1 delay all game, nobody has cumulatively taken longer than last night.

If you factor in Arsenal's average in game time is about 55mins which it roughly is, 30 of the 35mins with the ball out was them delaying time.

It also fails to point out of those 195, many are Arsenal. Arsenal have the highest average in the league at over 40 seconds (sorry this is corners), 6th highest in the league.

So whilst on average it wasn't as bad, cumulatively 30+ mins for 1 team is absolutely horrendous. That's usually the combined for both teams.

I've seen an incident last night where Raya dives and then holds the top shoulder (not the one impacted) and wastes 90seconds with medics on the pitch. I've seen him hold the ball for 15 seconds before releasing (which doesn't even get factored in). I think it's fair to point out after the way they performed last tonight.

This is where people need to be careful. The wording on the first tweet says THEIR highest total of the season, not THE highest total.

We know why it's worded and framed that way, to get traction and engagement.

Nahhh they will bore there way to the title now you watch when they rock up at your place ..........you know when title rivals go hell for leather for it ............these boring twats will simply employ shithouse negative tactics.

Honestly like i said they will win it but they will get pulled to bits they way they have gone about it.

Just to correct you slightly, Arsenal restart time is not the worst at 40sec's, it's 6th worse at 30.2 secs.

The restart time from a corner specifically is the worst at over 40s, and that's a deliberate ploy to add to the tension defending teams have when defending a corner kick. They do that even when they aren't winning. They will drag it out more when they are though.
