I’m sick of our diving, injury fringing and claiming for everything

If Haaland would have done it after the pen incident we would have won. Exaggerating a foul is just making it harder for the ref to ignore it and shaft us.
 
I get the argument that 'everyone does it' and 'refs don't give anything unless you fall,' but since when did we start measuring ourselves against Arsenal’s antics?

The stats show we still commit the fewest fouls in the top 4, yet we’re picking up more yellows than they are. If we’re trying to master the 'dark arts,' we’re clearly rubbish at it. Seeing Rodri or Haaland stay down just feels wrong because this club was built on players like Fernandinho and Zaba who would have had to be carried off on a stretcher before they’d feign an injury.

Winning is the goal, but there’s a reason we used to be proud of being 'too honest.' We're the best footballing side in the world, we don't need to roll around like tarts to beat Forest. Let the others have the 'most hated' crown—I’d rather we won with a bit of the old-school grit we used to have.

What makes me laugh is the keepers all go down with the same injury, sits on floor, looks at a point on back of his calf, trainer comes on studies it for a bit longer, such a farce, could at least vary what the supposed injury is !

stand corrected , was that the West Brom final ? Was also at that game , didnt got to Poland , that game wasnt even on telly !! Think it was a Chelsea - Leeds FA Cup replay the same night.

Was the WBA final indeed and the ECWC Final was due to be covered but cancelled because of the FA Cup Final replay. The ECWC Final was in Austria not Poland. Maybe confused with Gornik being Polish.

Strange thread. Everyone does it to us so we shouldn't do it back? Instead we should just let them get away with it?

I hate diving, and tbh I don't think our team are nearly as bad as others. But I am not liking watching every other team do it to us whilst we let them get away with it.. Do the same.

Every single match we have over 70 % possession. Every single match we concede more fouls than the opposition.
The players mention it, Pep talks about it, and the club as a whole acknowledge an issue.
The problem in my opinion is totally with the refereeing, a player goes down( not in the penalty area) and 90% of the time a soft foul is given. That is why players fall to the floor.

Why do City almost always concede more fouls in a game with so much possession ?

I think you are picking up two different points here. The 50-50 decisions is one thing but with regards to the statistic point, as soon as we lose possession then we strategic foul. If there was a book on the dark arts, that would definitely be a chapter in it. We were a lot better at it a few years ago :P

No, we concede more free kicks than the opposition (fact), and we rarely get 50 50 decisions as Pep, Bernardo, Rodri and others point out regularly.
The dark arts, invented by Neville and Carragher when we were on a four in a row crusade.

My point is I would expect us to generally concede more free kicks than most because of the way we play which exaggerates the statistical argument when talking about 50-50 decisions.
 
I don't agree at all. We are always doing it less then our opponents. Haaland being fouled in the penalty area and don't even raises his hands. I remember Bob should have had a clear penalty against Spurts at home and he just plays on. We are to nice in my opinion and that makes us lose a lot of points. I don't ask us to cheat but at least complain when we are robbed of clear penalty deciosions.
