Can see why Doku is getting all the votes , but Rodri was the the player trying absolutely everything to stem the tide , he must be well pissed off with Pep , you could see the team selection and formation was wrong after 15-20 minutes , and didnt get any help in the middle of the park until the hour mark , just very poor from Pep all round.

The Invisible Man JS but this time I’m not sure that there is someone else. I’ll sleep on it.

I’ve said before that a player doesn’t come onto the pitch thinking I’ll have a bad game. It happens, we’ve all had a bad day at work. Unfortunately this time some sort of collective malaise hit the whole team somehow at the same time.
Hey ho, we’re City supporters and we’ve been here before and we will be again but…….we’ll come back fighting to the end.

MANCHESTER CITY THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD STILL.

Like Arnie we’ll be back. :-)

Even though the first goal was a massive mistake, donnaruma stopped it from being 4 or 5. So I’ve gone for him MOTM. That’s how bad the rest was.

Doku, those 2 early crosses begging to be tapped home could’ve changed everything.

Bernie the only other outfield player for his energy as usual.

I can understand the Doku votes, but for everything good he does (the two early crosses were begging for Haaland) he does 5 or 6 braindead things, holds on to the ball too long, tries to beat players on the edge of his own box, doesn't fucking pass when its 3 v 2 etc.

I've gone for Donearunner despite him actually doing that for the first goal. Should have stopped the second too (or was it the third? can't remember, but the penalty save has made it at least worth thinking about watching the second leg

Agree with this pretty much. Doku did play pretty well, but he's hard for his own players to read so they struggle to get in the end of his crosses. Also pretty awful decision to pass up a shot on the edge of the box.

Don't think Donnarumma was great - Courtois was great. Was a little annoyed by Donnarumma on the second goal - if you're going to get beat let it happen with a full arm out stretch for the ball, but it was a half-arsed, arm half out attempt. First goal obviously wasn't great either.

Thought the starting 11 were all partly to blame (along with Pep and whoever told them to wear whatever studs they all had on), so voted Ait-Nouri. Thought he looked the part and tried to progress us when he came on.
