The FOC thread.

Hi All.
On 23 Feb, I fell down the stairs. Bones cracked or broken:
I clavicle, 7 ribs, 1 vertebra, 1 pelvis. Total 10!
Spent some time in Bradford Royal which was horrible. Now in Westbourne Green Community Hospital which is much better, aimed at FOCs and those requiring rehab.
Any chance you can have the cat come visit you, or won't they allow that? Sure he (she?) misses you.
Expected to last at least a year, then I’ll join my heroes, Peter Green, Colin Bell et al.
Sod that. Ten more yet!

Get well.

Gilera Tiger Cross perchance?

Great wasn't it, hooning around on 50cc bikes with your friends on Fizzies aged 16 travelling together close to the speed of light!

OK, 45 MPH, but you know what I mean.

Happy days.
Slower than the fizzies and the Suzukis (AP50 I think) on the flat, but found I could fly past them on any decent hill! Gearing I guess.
Don’t know if I ever knew the model as I saved up pocket money, sold my pushbike and money from a part time job, and could still only afford an old rat. Tank and panels were in red primer with no decals and a bit if a state but she was mine and I loved her! Have a look on eBay, up to £9000 now :-)

I had a Honda 90 that my dad didn't want anymore. Lovely bit of kit, I rode it straight through our garden fence and landed head first in a neighbour's rose bed. I was about 14.
Dad flogged the bike about a day after to stop me killing myself.
I was 17 and drinking in a pub in Wythenshawe, got talking to a mate's mate who was looking to sell his BSA C15. I bought it off him, in the pub, £15 quid, and without any protective kit and only rudimentary instructions (gears one down and two up?) started to ride it home. First corner came off after hitting the kerb (bloody thing weighed a ton). Went through a red light, clipped a taxi but stayed on.
Six months later I'm in the MRI after being side-swiped by a corporation bus.

Complete change of subject, but very FOC. Curry was on the hospital menu three times this week. So I dived in and got my first ‘result’ in three weeks. Cue applause from ITK nurses! I should have run a book.
