West Ham United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Yeah, I think that's it now. We did everything but score there, the crucial bit of quality just isn't there yet. It will be next season. Any earlier in the season and you'd say it was an encouraging performance - the way we dominated the second half - but it's just a bit too little too late. It's not 100% over, but it feels like there's a bit too much to do now.

We shouldn't really have been in a title race anyway. This has come a year too soon, we're not ready to get 80+ points yet. It should have been Arsenal and Liverpool in a title race but Liverpool fucked it completely. With that said, each time Arsenal have left the door open we've just not taken the chance. Speaks to that 5-10% quality we're just missing in the marginal moments.

It'll get there though. And we can still end this season with a League Cup and maybe the FA Cup as well. If these are bad days then I hope we keep living them.

It's not their fault that we are shit.

They are fighting for survival they done what they had to do and grafted hard for.a point.

Pity we don't show some fight. We've a bunch of fannies playing for us.

Domination

Shots off the line

Hitting the bar

Saves from their goalkeeper

"SHIT"

It's not peps fault it's the players. We won in the past thanks to the caliber of player's we've had not just quality but their character. Apart from the captains, nobody strikes me as taking up a leadership role apart from Cherki. The whole team feels very disjointed.

Not to mentioned We were spoilt for players with likes of Kdb, david silva, aguero, etc. There is nobody of that caliber in our team now and those that were are on the tail end of their careers.

We are still in a rebuild but pep is still the best out there, I hope he finishes his contract but move players on that obviously aren't going to cut it and stop pretending or banking on unforeseen "potential".
We badly miss king kevin.

Times like this we should look at what we have achieved, We’re mortal now. We’ll likely win more cups/titles, but the dominance is over and to be fair I don’t see anyone else doing it for a while. We’ll just be like the other top clubs, ups and downs, good patches with silverware as well as dry patches. Just be thankful we did the things we did :)

On a side note TNT have just advertised the games in Europe next week, mentioned everyone but us, even included the Scousers game at Brighton next Saturday. They obviously don't like us.

What is there to mention about us? We lost out on our ability to win titles and can hope Arsenal somehow get norovirus to win a Carabao Cup. Hardly an achievement.

Genuinely feel sick after that. We were an absolute embarrassment tonight. Guardiola got it wrong again, the keeper who's been brilliant all season suddenly looked lost, and the tempo was a joke – we were literally jogging around like it was a training session.

The last two minutes we finally cranked up the pace and it showed immediately. If we'd played at that tempo for 90 minutes we win comfortably. But no, apparently we'd rather stroll around and throw away the title race.

Drew at home to West Ham. Title race over. Disgraceful.

Home?

The urgency in the last 10 minutes, where the fuck is that in the first 80????????
Exactly!!! The he first half just pass it around with no purpose. Lollygagging and sleepwalking. Then 10 min to go….”ok guys, let’s play now”. Fucking pathetic. I’m okay with draws and losses if we play 100%. But this shit is unacceptable. We can blame pep all day long but the players need to take responsibility for their lack of effort.

It should play not be we get the one goal advantage and that will do

My fucking god guys you should be going for more

The lot of them didn't look like they will score till midnight let alone the next morning

So poor

Man, we are so fucking awful to watch these days. Dreadful turgid shite once again. How in hell are we second when we've been held by a shite West Ham team and struggled/scraped-by against relegation fodder ?

I dunno. I'm treating this season as a write-off yet again. I honestly believe we'll win fuck all (just my feeling, don't shoot me), but if we do it's a bit of added gravy.

If Pep goes this summer I won't be sad. He's been a cracking manager until a few years back and an amazing servant to the club, but it's clear as day that City are in need of a huge refresh. New manager with new ideas and a renewed feeling within the club. I seriously doubt Pep will bring back the City glory days any season soon. I think he's reached the end with us.
