West Ham United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

A football lesson from Arse Anal?? Give me a break. Maybe a lesson in how to hump our goalkeeper on corners. They play shit football too

A shit football that outperforms us at every level currently. Wouldn’t be surprised if they hit us with a minimum of 3 like Real have. This team is done and it shows mentally. Pep is gone as well.

I’m ready for Pep to go.

I know we won’t reach these heights again. I know finding a replacement is fraught with risk, and we’re likely to take a step back. We owe Pep so much.

But I’m ready for him to go. Tired of lineups that clearly won’t work. Tired of guys getting shunted to the bench for no reason, and playing time being doled out on loyalty rather than merit. Tired of looking at a team sheet, raising an eyebrow in confusion, and then watching five minutes of soccer knowing it won’t work.

It’s time for wholesale changes. Starting at the top.

I can't fathom how a striker who has scored gold for every club he has ever been to, has slowly has those goals completely dry up.
It had to be our fault. Whether that's because we coached it out of him or because he signed a long term contract and lost his wool - I don't know, but it has to be our fault.

Utterly rudderless and toothless.

Build up play is far too slow and style of play is too predictable. Even we had won and wouldn't of fancied our chances, but the title is over now.

All on the Carabou and FA Cup, as I can't see us turning round the CL tie.

You can't bottle anything from second, which is where we've been for months.
The league is winnable but both us and the tarquins have done their best to fuck it up, but we've been better at that than them, so yeah we outbottled the bottlers.

It's not peps fault it's the players. We won in the past thanks to the caliber of player's we've had not just quality but their character. Apart from the captains, nobody strikes me as taking up a leadership role apart from Cherki. The whole team feels very disjointed.

Not to mentioned We were spoilt for players with likes of Kdb, david silva, aguero, etc. There is nobody of that caliber in our team now and those that were are on the tail end of their careers.

We are still in a rebuild but pep is still the best out there, I hope he finishes his contract but move players on that obviously aren't going to cut it and stop pretending or banking on unforeseen "potential".
Pep plays the wrong team & wrong subs most weeks. It’s on pep & his tactics

First thing that comes to mind is why the hell didn't Pep start with the lineup we had once Cherki came on? It is his stubbornness that has killed us at the most important stage of the season.

Because of his reluctance to change away from his favoured players to shoehorn them in I can honestly see us winning nothing this year. For the first hour we were terrible - didn't make their keeper work once. At least when he changed it we looked dynamic and positive. I just have to hope that he reflects on the last 2 games and plans for next season. Don't play those who will be gone. Build your midfield around Cherki and play just Doku on the left and Semenyo right. Play Guehi and Khushanov and let them develop together. In other words find a system that gets the best out of our squad and stop with the tinkering.

I'm angry but at least in that last 20 mins we looked more like it with players buzzing about.

Oh and sack the set piece coach tomorrow!

When you don’t beat the sides in 17th & 18th in the league in consecutive games, then you don’t deserve to win titles.

I do believe Cherki is the only player of the level we require that we’ve signed in recent years. He should be starting every game.

Set piece coach needs to be moved on… if we even have one.

The style of play is so tired now, no intent to any of it.

We have become Hleb era Arsenal. We strangle the ball, it’s almost a form of time wasting, we are negative now, scared of losing where as we used to be a ruthless side that had no fear.
Yes no idea why we played so conservatively for the first 60 minutes. We just had to win...a defeat or draw would have meant fuck all to us if that had happened with us going for it. There was no pressure on us. We should have been able to beat WHU.

Pep before game:

"Now its West Ham. The Premier League is the most difficult title. We're still there, knowing that if we drop points it will be over."

We dropped points vs relegation level and very poor WHU and yes its over. we still need to visit likes of Chelsea, Everton, Bournemouth and chances are we aint winning any of that three imo.

today Arteta put Pep under pressure with the late win, and we didnt like that pressure because the pressure didnt come from a shit WHU clearly they had one corner nothing else.

Forest and WHU. 17th and 18th. wow. we cant even beat these. we were dogshit for 55 mins when bit of urgency started to happen. too little too late.
Just not good enough. I’m off to commit a crime somewhere
