I'd be going with a midfield double pivot of Rodders, Gonzalez with Cherki floating about.

Nothing like what Pep will do, we should have those 3 as our regular starting midfield.
I like it, but can't imagine us without Bernardo at the moment and wouldn't have him on the wing.

Can we have Yaya, Fernandinho and de Bruyne please?

So, Mbappe, Bellingham and Carreras are all included in the squad for tomorrow. I don't think they are ready to start, but who knows?

They'll miss only Militao and Rodrygo from their stars, the latter isn't even a firm starter.

Not seen a scintilla of evidence all season to suggest this team can turn around a 0-3 to Real Madrid.

By far the biggest issue is that we have only scored 4 goals against top flight opposition 3 times this season. 4-0 v Wolves (20th PL), 5-1 v Burnley (19th PL) and 5-4 v Fulham (a result that would leave us 2 goals short).

Even though there is less than 1% chance
But lets give it all

My latest nightmare senario, we win 6-3 & then lose in penalties

Or win 4-0 then conced 2 goals after the 90 minute

So City aren’t training today. That seems pretty strange, the day before a game like this.

I can only assume that means we're going to play an XI and formation that everyone is very familiar with, not a Pep special, and that they think the biggest problem with the squad is fatigue?

Given we played on Wednesday and then a similar line-up on Saturday, and that at least 8-9 from the starting XI at W Ham are likely to start again, the most important thing is getting a proper rest: physically and mentally. Might be a risky decision, but they need to be as refreshed as possible.

Not only that, what about that performance on Saturday was deemed as being worthy of being rewarded with a day off?

They should have been hauled in today to work on crosses, through balls, and attacking/defending corners.

Probably pre planned.

Saturday night in London

Game Tuesday night.

Next weekend in London for the final.

It is what it is, nothing will be gained from 1 extra training session.

Media shit stirring for me.

It's not about rewarding the players. That much should be clear. It's not like they don't care about the outcomes of games and think only about the next free days.

I think we’ll win the game but go out.

People thinking we can score 4 past Madrid whilst only slotting 2 goals against part timers that are Salford City. Only a few weeks ago are deluded.
