Been absolutely hung out to dry by a man who claims he is like ‘my son’. Others are allowed consistently shit performances, Marmoush, Semenyo and Silva! Hopefully he leaves this summer and finds someone who will have a bit more faith.

I'm almost glad he didn't play against Madrid, so fans can't blame him for us going out the way we did, because trust me, they would have.

Or maybe it's just an indication he's well off it in training and behind the scenes, not just in games.
If Pep thought he could make an impact, he would be on but obviously he sees him every day.

I'd agree but something is clearly off with him that he can barely get a game off the bench.
But if it's true that he is struggling mentally, then he probably shouldn't even be sat on the bench and instead getting on top of that.

Bollocks again, how different are they, Reinders occupies a midfield position but does even less defensive work than Foden. The fella isn’t good enough, disgrace he got a game over Phil tonight.

I know Foden isn’t having a great season, and it’s mostly down to a lack of confidence. But he hasn’t forgotten how to play football. So is the solution really to push him to the edge of the bench and not even bring him on as a fifth substitute? Pep is just killing his confidence, and this can’t keep happening. He’s a much better player than Reijnders, Savinho, Marmoush and Semenyo.

I think the real reason is that pep knows phil's quality, is leaving him out so he can blood in the newer players into a certain position, phil gets the full rest he needs in this season ready to go 100% at the start of next season

To not get a minute in this tie, when both Savinho and Reijnders (for example) got starts.
He also can’t have too many complaints, he’s looked like a lost little boy in recent appearances.
Maybe…maybe.. Pep didn’t play him at all yesterday to ensure he wasn’t involved in the defeat in any way.
