How are people saying it wasn't his fault? Our captain got sent off & gave a penalty away 20 minutes into a massive game, of course it was his fault.
Because he’s won a lot with city, he’s a good lad and works hardHow are people saying it wasn't his fault? Our captain got sent off & gave a penalty away 20 minutes into a massive game, of course it was his fault.
He's been sent off once in his whole career. That wouldn't back up your claim that he acts stupidly on yellow. If a few more of the fairies in the side would show the same bollox he has we'd be in a better place.I’ve been saying this for a long time. He’s gotten away with it hundreds of times, but for years I’ve watched him make incredibly stupid moves while on a yellow card. He dives, falls, and provokes opponents, and tonight it all caught up to him. Unfortunately, it came at the highest possible price
Yeah, Donnarumma in goal and ten Bernardos. We'd have five in a row! He's been sent off once in his whole career. That wouldn't back up your claim that he acts stupidly on yellow. If a few more of the fairies in the side would show the same bollox he has we'd be in a better place.
Agree with this , it could have been 3-3 after twenty minutes and 5-5 at half time , great entertainment for the neutral , but a more measured approach was required , the problem is our crowd were giving everything to push us forward and attack and players do react to an atmosphere. Ultimately we lost the tie at the Bernabeu not last night at the Etihad. No, he didn't cost the game, let alone the tie. It looked like he's lost the confidence in the team and lost a bit of composure. Up to that point, City was decent in attack but was all over the place on defense. Case in point: barely one minute in,a Madrid forward got a one-on-one with our goalkeeper, which frankly, he should have scored. Then, at about 15th minute, Vinicius hit the post. The ball was collected by one Madrid player and he crossed for the shot which led to Bernardo's red card offense. City's defense just wasn't good enough. Even if they had managed to score three goals, they would've conceded at least two. They may have won the game, but no way the tie.
