Arsenal (N) | League Cup Final | Post Match Thread

It's amusing that no matter how much some of us fans think we are hated, looking at the comments from supporters of other clubs shows that the Arsenal loathing is on another level!

There was an interesting article in the Telegraph about this a couple of days ago:

(yes I know its by Spitty Carragher, but it is spot on).

To save you reading it, he basically said neutrals wanted a City win today because Arsenal play such anti-football with crappy tactics, time-wasting and all those goals from corners that would never be allowed in a European game....

Absolutely fuckin brilliant! Totally fucked yo skys program tonight! They were convinced the arse were winning today. Talk about crest fallen! Ian wright still doesn’t realise he looks an absolute thundercunt in his man from del monte hat when the sun went down over two hours ago!

So our tenth LC Final and we’ve won the fucker nine times! Not a bad record.

Rodders was amazing, he was at the centre of everything, obviously brilliant that a young lad born and bred within a few miles of our ground was the goal scoring hero, also big question to be answered on JT in nets, way too good to be a back up, is he even better than Donna ?

Really happy with the silverware and not that greedy that I want more this season, this team will learn and grow and maybe have a real go next season.

MCFC League Cup Champions 2026.

One funny thing: 7 years since Arrizabalaga refused to be subbed of against a certain sky blue team in the Carabou Cup final (then conceded 4 penalties) and today messed up again for a different London team!

I think Cherki might be in the doghouse though - rocking Anthony vibes with those keepy-uppies!
Nothing like Anthony the talentless tosser

I have to say that was one of our finest moments. A season where we haven't really clicked, and a very real danger of going without a trophy again, a week where we were dumped out of Europe and up against a team hunting for the quadruple.

We outplayed them, we outclassed them and we schooled them on what top class football can look like. Way more direct and agressive than we've been for much of the season, better balanced, better organised and totally fired up.

Very proud this evening, and if this is Pep's last season, then it was yet another one with silverware to add to his long long list.
