Arsenal (N) | League Cup Final | Post Match Thread

No one mentioning the deliberate pull back on Doku by Kepa and Banks' decision to blow the whistle with the ball at Doku's feet with the keeper way out of his goal. A horrendous decision that will be swept under the carpet.
Yep.

0-0 at that point. Potential game changer and the officials deliberately shied a away from making the correct decision.

This team isnt good enough....the players are not up to the standard of players bought previously....sell them all we are only half way through the rebuild...Hugo Viana isnt up to it get cheeky txiki back....Ake is too slow (excellent today), Doku can't go past a defender (about 6 times today), we have bought players that are championship level....what a loada malarky....NEXT!!!

Agree he shoudve played advantage but don't think it was a red card , 4 arse defenders getting back don't think it was a clear goalscoring opportunity ...imho
I think it was definitely a red - denying a one on one with a keeper is a guaranteed red, and without the foul, Doku only had two defenders in the vicinity. Clearly a goal scoring opportunity. I think everyone’s judging it as though the keeper was still in position, in which case the presence of the defenders is probably enough to make it only a yellow.

Never felt any trepidation about today , knew it would be a tough tight game , but also knew we are the better football team a few on here before the game questioned our fight and commitment to Pep which i find embarrassing , Pep's teams never lack fight , sometimes things can go against you , but do not question this squad of players fight that is insulting.
Every player was superb today , not one didnt play to their level and we proved we are the best football team in the country , by next year i believe the consistency will improve and we win the league. Not writing this seasons title off but looking at the Goons today and they looked lost and bereft of creativity , but they will scrap and win really ugly.
The ugliest Champions of the Premier league ever seen

Its the business end of the season, the Arse are going to find out what it's like to keep the PL, FA cup and UCL plates spinning at the same time.
Even before today, their ability to do so was questionable, after that result, it's more than likely. I think we've right royally fucked them up winning in the manner we did today.
