Elliot Anderson | Opening bid rejected (p189)

Rodri isn’t fast either. His positioning is superb, if Nico can master that, it doesn’t matter how mobile he is
Rodri is just incredible. I look back and laugh at the idea of people calling him Plodri he’s just a brilliant footballer.

I always worry when Nico turns his back to a player, that little pivot on the ball. I don’t think he’s quite the same player in tight spaces but that said doesn’t make him a bad player at all. I think he’d thrive with more minutes.

Rodri pace isn’t great but what he does better than most is he reads the game better he is at the man just as the ball comes to him so he can get it off him better Gonzales is a bit later.. Anderson has all that but I’d have to see him in a pep team to really judge..

is he injured? i dont watch internationals but he wasnt in the team or bench the other night
It's a 35 man 'split England squad' meaning he'll be involved in the next game. Apparently Tuchel wanted to look at them as two separate teams to gauge more - guess something he developed from being at Chelsea and needing two changing rooms!!

He does now, but if you read the last Pep book, he didn’t read it better in his first couple of seasons,Pep was frustrated because he was running too much and wasn’t in the right places, it was Lilo that took him aside and worked with him on that side. Whether Gonzalez can be as good a learner as Rodri we’ll see, and while he might not get to Rodri Balon D’or level, probably not because we might not see another DM win it, he might still be better than most options.
I think Anderson will make a better 8 and Bernardo replacement alongside Rodri then Gonzalez than a straight Rodri replacement.

BBC with a story today that he's the next Gascoigne haha! Who do they have writing these articles?!
They didn't really they did a quite good piece about Anderson, that included a quote from somebody who played at Bristol with him who said
"He's a bit of a throwback, the way he handles the ball. From where he's come from people talk about Gazza (Paul Gascoigne) - he has that about him,"

The Blackburn Baggio?

That would be Baggio who played for them. You know the famous one from the 1994 world cup who scored the winner for the ten men against Norway when pony tale was taken off for the new 'keeper.

He’s tweeted the same thing about both Anderson and Tonali today.

I can hear "where are 115 charges?" and "What a fraud, Pep is a chequebook manager" in RedCafe and X

United will sign some aged former star as a "Statement signing" and will flop again

Tinbridge will have a aneurysm at this point
