A thread to discuss past players and coaches of City women team

Er, when Bunny got injured who knew we had a goal scoring superstar understudy in our midst...
step forward Alana Kennedy. Four goals in 2 games now.

Sounds bad, doesn't it. Wish her well too
She's 36. Could be a career ender. Normal ACL injuries take around 7-9 months for a player to make it back so I guess it depends if she has the fight still in her to go through that and if she can get back to any sort of level that she's happy with again. Will take a lot of work for her and at that stage of her career might not think it's worth it.

Didn't realise she was that old. Suspect she'll retire. She probably only had a couple of seasons left anyway

Talking of past players, it looks like Georgia Stanway is looking to return to England.

Her game has expended now to 6, 8 & 10 positions.

The question is...

Would you have her back taking into account her garnered experience...?
I was very disappointed when Georgia left, but she's not as versatile across the ptch as Yui, not the Rodri model like Sam Coffey is, and up front we have far quicker players. I fancy she'd go to CFC.

Jess Park has scored one more league goal this season than she finished with last season at City...
She needs to get out of the place she's in currently - spent 90mins flogging ten dead horses. And I don't want to hear a fuckin' word about the Ragettes playing midweek and being exhausted.

Indeed, this was pre the signing of the EXCELLENT Coffey as I was bothered by the lack of balance with Blindkilde-Brown alongside Hasegawa, but Coffey has, indeed, solved that issue as it allows YH into the space Stanway would have occupied.

Caroline Weir looks set to join Lyon. She deserves to play for a title-winning team (which is virtually assured), so good luck to her. (Apart from when she inevitably plays us in the CL next year of course!)
