Think the dynamics around this tournament could be quite fluid if geopolitical matters don’t significantly improve in the next three months, which is certainly less than likely imo.

Lots of moving parts, so impossible to predict with any real certainty what the landscape will look like, but I can see the tournament taking place in a wholly different form than is presently envisioned by FIFA, and I think a single, significant country such as Spain boycotting the tournament could start an avalanche, although I’d still say that was less than likely at this stage.

Lots can change in the next few months.

One prediction I will make - the trophy will end up in the Oval Office after Trump nicks it in full view of the world.
 
Infantino is guilty of a lot of things and deserves criticism but this comment he is being attributed to has been debunked, what's read on X really should stay on X.

If ever there was a sporting event that deserved a boycott it’s this & to think the criticism Qatar got compared to these.

The funniest thing about accusing the Gulf states of sports washing when you consider the amount of Olympics the yanks have hosted & we had an event called the fucking empire games.

It did seem an oddly cuntish comment even for him. His smug photo with Trump there to accentuate disgust and provoke a reaction.
(Is it the same tactics the BBC use when opening hys on anti-City stories ?)
Who knows what’s true or not these days ?
 
Pretty sure he didn't say that, that tweet is the only place it's recorded. Just rage bait by the Twitter account.
