I think you'll overhaul that goal difference as you might give some sides a pasting whereas we'll win by a goal.

I think if you drop any more points that'll probably be that though.
We’re not pasting teams in general though.

Bournemouth is a nasty fixture to have up next. It’ll probably dictate how the rest of the run in goes.

I'm clinging to the fact that wasn't our 1st string so it's hard ti read too much into it, but let's see what happens at Sporting to get a proper temperature check.

After the Wembley loss I heard, Jesus & Martinelli made a difference when they came on as Saka, Gyokeros did fuck all etc There’s always an excuse, are they injured, rested, out of form. Will you playing strongest team in champs league or the prem? what’s your team so we know for the run in.

Strongest team is

Raya
Timber
Saliba
Gabriel
Hincapie
Zubimendi
Rice
Odegaard
Saka
Gyokeres
Trossard

Gabriel and a half-fit Odegaard started tonight.

The team that played City at Wembley was much stronger than tonight's side.

I think what concerns me is in 2 straight games Arteta has been tactically outthought. Vs City at Wembley we seemed shell shocked that City didn't have the courtesy to allow us to play though their press out of defence. Then tonight we were undone by long balls and thought we could wing it with no midfield cover.

And then post match Arteta says we are out because of defensive lapses, neglecting to point out that we scored only one goal against a side 7th in the Championship and our attack looked ineffective apart from a 16 year old kid (who BTW I think we need to start at the Etihad - can't be worse than what we currently have).

The wonder of the Internet
Totally strangers who know fuck all about someone giving it jonny big balls.
Good luck with your disabled child. Its a ruff ride.

The wonder of the Internet is the ease at which we believe what faceless posters write.
They could be anyone, bullshitting to their hearts delight.
Writing as if they are Paddy Mayne reincarnated.
Preaching as if they are the messiah.

It’s your inability to break teams down outside of set pieces that is coming home to roost.

Arteta still has time to adapt to change this, but all his adaptations seem to be negative ones, rather than more attacking ones.

I’m not sure Dowman is a solution to any of your problems. He might help you score a couple of goals, but he’ll make you concede too based on today’s performance.

Your captain backheels a ball to nobody, it gets intercepted and Dowman doesn’t track back.

He’s young. Stupidly young, but that kind of stuff loses you games in the PL, let alone the FA Cup.

A team changes with form & throughout the season. Foden was on fire first 4 months now not so. Our best 11 looks fuck all like our best 11 earlier in the season. Oreilly only got a chance due to injury, Gvardiol & Dias were our starting centre half’s, Bernie & Rodri looked like their best years were behind them. If he tries to get over the line with the team he thinks played well in January he may well fall short. That important detail Arteta seems to have missed from his apprenticeship with Pep.
