President Trump

His supporters and grifters will be laughing at the commotion his posts and actions cause.

They think 'liberals' are doing better than them and they hate it.

They know he's a racist, lying, incompetent scumbag but they love seeing people get angry at what Trump does and says. It's the only thing they have.

Ofcourse they are..

And the Chinese, and the Indians, and the Arabs and the Latinos, and the Mexicans, and the Canadians, and the Europeans and basically everyone else.

Why? They value education and scientific reasoning over religious ideals.

In any functioning democracy this guy should be absolutely nowhere near the levers of power, which leads me to draw the conclusion that the USA is no longer a functioning democracy, and hasn't been for a long time.
The way the political system is financed is at the root of the problem. Rich (unelected) people can "buy" anybody they want.
The trouble is that Americans can no longer see this corruption as wrong.

They think free health care is somehow wrong and damaging to a nation, because big pharma can afford to spread misinformation.
Poor workers there actually believe unions are a bad thing for them. That's how brainwashed they are.

Sadly, this shite is slowly infiltrating this country. US (Pharma) wants our healthcare system privatised. Union memberships are dropping.
You can see Big Oil at work with all the negative Electric car stories. Yet people who actually own them love them. Strange that eh!

Uncontrolled - definitely. More to do with the failings of everything around him though.

Wildly irrational - probably, depending on your definition of wildly. Although stupid (and non stupid) people often make irrational decisions, so it’s difficult to judge. He is both stupid and makes irrational decisions more than you would expect.

I think most would view deranged as to be having some sort of dementia that prevents coherent functioning, etc or some sort of behaviour that seems psychotic.

I think his behaviour is psychotic, based on norms, for someone in his position. I just think it is more a function of a being despicable person and everything around him abandoning its role in not accepting it. Rather than it being simply derangement. If Biden had deteriorated to being ‘deranged’ to some degree, similar behaviour would not have been allowed.

I think he has the capacity to behave in a different, less ‘deranged’ manner when faced with significant push back, which someone deranged might not. He just has no reason to do so, as he doesn’t face that and has no moral compass to compensate.
It seems to me that we are broadly in agreement that he is both a despicable human being and (to some extent) deranged. Think we simply disagree on the relative influence of each on his behaviour.

It's not free healthcare. It's paid for by taxes.

The tradeoff is a) taking care of poorer people versus b) the moral hazard and financial burden of giving away "free" stuff paid by your earnings.

Leaving aside moral or financial aspects, the US versus UK comparison simply shows how extremes on either a or b are sub optimal. What seems to worksbest is a mixed model - as is the case in some European countries.

If he goes ahead with is threat to start bombing Water Plants etc Charlie should have the balls to say regardless of any constitutional issues no way am I going to spend time with that moron
Threatening to bomb water plants and critical civilian infrastructure is scumbag behaviour, and that's even if you support the war against the Iran regime.

Issue is, Trump merely openly talks about it.
But this behaviour, and callousness towards other people, isn't new and is in fact pretty typical of previous Western wars.
The attack on Libyan water infrastructure, attacks on civilian targets from Vietnam to Iraq to Afghanistan...
Trump is just shameless and open about it.

Q
The President of the International Criminal Court needs to make a statement and say that if trump continues to attack civilians he will be declared a War Criminal and his arrest will be sought where ever he is for a trial in the Hague.
Perhaps King Charles could effect a citizen's arrest.
