Different player, but will take the Bernardo role alongside the CDM.

Will be interesting how the midfield shapes up..

He will fit into this team without any problems, giving us that much-needed muscle and strength in duels. It will also be much easier for Rodri, as he'll have such a beast by his side who can chase down and cover what he can't

Football changes so quickly. Whenever I hear a team is five years behind another I think it could be five months.

He's looked good whenever I've seen him, you can tell he's got talent - I just don't think Slot has a clue where to play him, or what his best team is. Salah leaving will probably help in that regard.

Can’t lie, I was gutted that we didn’t get him but more gutted that we lost out to them on him? They did over pay though but I’m also sure he will improve quite a bit going forward

There's no guarantee of that. He may just not suit the English game. Maybe Alonso can get a tune out of him next season, cos no matter what, slot is gone at the end of this season.
The worrying thing for the scouse is he isn't showing an understanding of the game dynamic, neither is he (which is more concerning) producing moments of individual brilliance.
He's just a bog standard player right now.
We say one season is a settling in season for players coming from abroad, so he may come out of his shell next season. Its 50/50 right now on whether he's gonna come good or stay shite...

You can tell that rodders plays in a possession based team from that.
Anderson looks good on the combative side of the game, and if he's eventually playing at City, his possession and passing stats will spike.
Not much to dislike on that comparison.

Cherki is just loving showing off though isn’t he? Absolutely loving life and showing his talents at the moment
 
With Bernardo going, it’s pretty much nailed on if he wants us over the Rags?

Seeing City win the Carabao Cup, and maybe the FA Cup, plus getting a CL place, will be a huge reason to join City over the Rags, who haven’t won anything this season.

PS. City could still win the PL title?

Imagine playing alongside Rodri, Cherki, Semenyo, and Doku, with Haaland up front.

I’m sure he does mate, look at tre playing squad to theirs and he would come straight into the team?
