US & Israel attack Iran

If Trump does what he's promised he'll do with planes that have launched from or transited via this country then Starmer needs to be gone.
Whether they've come from the UK or not, hes not done enough to stop this.

In fact the silence today from labour, tories and the various grifting fuckwits is deafening. Fuck them all off

It's disgusting we are letting them transit weapons etc through the UK. I don't want us to be tarnished with whatever that fat orange wanker does later.

Our government is between a rock and a hard place.

We didn't want this war, we'll play no part in actively engaging in it... but our economy needs that straight open and we can't have Iran retaliating by attacking the refinery in Qatar as that's where a lot of our oil, gas and fertiliser comes from.

Many on the left don't want to hear it and wish our government would grandstand like Spain's leader... but their ecomomy isn't reliant on all this.

The reality is we also rely on America for security of our interests in other parts of the world.

So until our country grows up and seriously invests in greener technology, moves closer to Europe and lessens our reliance on the Middle East and America, it's unfortunately a balancing act.

And as usual, our government tries to take a balanced approach and pisses off everyone.

I refer to my post above.

I'm sure in private everyone in government would love to tell Trump to fuck off.

The reality is whoever is in government would be advised by our security services not to join in the war, but that we need the straight open and for Iran not to retaliate against our interests. We also rely on America for security of our interests in other parts of the world and right now with Trump in power they're that petty and unstable they'd retaliate by withdrawing their security.

So it's a balancing act. That's the reality.

At this point are the yanks even bothering to ask?

Sorry but this is bullshit that’s all predicated on the completely nonsense idea that helping Trump bomb Iran opens the strait faster.

From the day Iran closed the strait every military analyst said that it could be kept closed indefinitely as long as any semblance of the Iranian regime remained.

So from that moment, Starmer should have confronted the fact that the only way to reopen the strait is to put political pressure on Trump and Israel to stop their illegal war.

Instead, he hosted the USAF on their bombing missions and his government has released a series of ludicrous statements attacking Iran for defending itself and completely ignoring the 2 parties that caused this.

That’s despite the fact a UK security adviser was at the talks and verified that Iran was complying with the US demands prewar, and the fact the UN has confirmed it’s an illegal war.

Starmer could have used both of those to put pressure on Israel and the US to stand down and take this through the proper international channels, but he didn’t. He chose to capitulate to Trump and attach us to his war.

Every world leader should be on TV right now, or calling cabinet meetings and putting out statements, denouncing this immediately. He is an unhinged maniac the world needs to be ridding itself of and it should start now. Appalling man. Where is the pushback and outcry against this kind of behaviour?

Has there ever been a man as rich and powerful as him and moan at how bad he's got it?

There's tons of people who instead of counting their blessings endlessly whine about what they don't have. or even if they have everything they still moan. It's probably something we've all been guilty of?
If there is mass extermination or nukes tonight I think it'll change that a bit , the world won't be the same, people will realise that this shit is very real

Just thinking out loud

When finances become more important than war crimes you've got your priorities wrong.

Yes, absolutely agree.
