If they made it 12.45 people would moan it's too early. Make it on the Sunday and people moan it's not Saturday. Not sure any kick off date/time appeases everyone and it's largely out of the clubs hands.

On the plus side there's 88 other league clubs that would swap places with us.

Leeds Chelsea 3pm Sunday on TNT

Here’s a thought: City put on trains for the late KO. They could do it if the will is there.

Yep. They could run them from Watford Junction (and Avanti could stop them there, when there’s a game at Wembley).
Still, when politicians fly about or have roads closed when they’re driven, why would they ever improve infrastructure for the Hoi Polloi…

Disagree, Plenty of time to get down to London, solid few hours in the pub, atmosphere will be a 10x better, still home for a decent time. Then you've got the Sunday to recover. Everyone's a winner!

Last train to Manchester is 2101.
Last train from Manchester to London is 2014, by the way.
It’s absolute garbage. Another huge privatisation success!!

Meanwhile, London have a tube service running 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.

Not saying the blackout rule makes any sense nor am I any fan of it, but those are the current rules in place sadly that dictate when kick-off times can be for live matches.

The club could indeed; or put on free coaches for fans given its trip no 33 to Wembley in 15 years and our 8th straight FA Cup semi 200 miles away from Manchester.

This makes far too much sense though for it to happen. The club would have to give a shit about the local match going fan to do this, and events for the past 3 years show they sadly dont.

Im old enough to remember those Barbican "alcohol free" lager Ads. McMenemy getting done for drink driving as he was on the tellybox advertising the stuff was priceless.
