Will we win the league this season? No

It would be the most crushing (For Arsenal) and the most impressive title win for City ever if we could do it. Not counting my chickens yet though. We have Chelsea tomorrow and we will need to a strong performance to win that and overcome our own nerves. Its not as easy as some people think, we cant just turn up and play our game, we will have those nerves too.

Cmon City, make a good go at it at least!!

The swinger. Goals in that game count double remember
Correct. Should we beat Chelsea, not sure how the bumnal will plan the game against us.
I'm thinking they'll play for a draw which will leave them in the driving seat. If they fall behind, will they risk attacking in case it leads to them possibly conceding more.
I don't think the season will be decided on GD but its no harm to build it up either.

Time will tell. Of all the results it was the Spurs away one that could be costly. 2-0 up against that shite should have been 3,points
One of several matches where we were poor but were still turned over by the officials with their goal that should have been disallowed.

(No they don't even up over a season.)

I’ve been saying for days that Chelsea is all that matters for now but after today, that’s obviously been ramped up by a huge extent.

Win tomorrow and the atmosphere next weekend is going to be insane.

Can’t remember the poster but someone on here said take 4 points from spurs & Liverpool away and we’ll go on and win it which we got, take 6 points from our next two games and we will go on and win it. I think Arsenal take 9 or 10 points out the rest of the season

The City dressing room at Stamford Bridge pre-match will be highly motivated after the Goons most recent collapse , they will go for Chelsea from the 1st minute , the Chavs under-16 manager is clueless and his players are not a team just a bunch of self serving individuals , we are coming to boil just at the right moment. We win the next three and the title is coming home

Keep fucking going I'm almost there

I spent 100 minutes swimming. Then another 10 just to be fucking sure. Covered up the league table so could only see their points tally and nearly snapped me goggles when saw

I do that cover the score then look at the team I want to win first then the reveal.
Me spending £100 on sky each month is a total waste:-))

100%
We don’t need 8 wins. We need one, then take it from there
One of Arsenal's biggest problems for me is that they start thinking about the title too early and too much. There’s too much talk about it with their fans and that feeds onto the players through the season.

I’ve always said the title race doesn’t even start until you get to Game 30, yet their fans were taking about the title in September.

Today, they got scared about the City game next week and had their minds on the title. You could see it in every facet of their play, worrying about losing and what that would mean in terms of next week and the title and it affected their performance, rather than just going out and winning the game in front of them.

Got a feeling that last minute goal ruled out at Anfield is going to come back and bite us on the goal difference arse

This is such a ridiculous way to look at things.

How many games have we been up a goal or 2 with 15+ minutes left and not chased another?

And you’re going to reduce things to a correctly disallowed goal?

8 games left to make up 3 goals.

Arteta described today as a punch in the face and it got me thinking about Mike Tyson saying everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.

Without an in form Odegaard and Saka I don’t think Arsenal have the ability to improvise once they get punched in the face. Whereas we have a squad who are growing into that, might still be a bit too late, and playing for free kicks and corners might enable them to still win it - I think it’ll be a huge ask for us to win every game.

But it’s possible and now reminds me of the 2019 run in. One game and one opposition at a time…

(I also hope they stay in the champs league after a nervy AET penalty shoot out win on Wednesday).

Arteta is so full of shit.

They created nothing from open play. He should be saying they weren’t good enough and need to play better.

Nothing wrong with thinking that. You’re only going off the evidence we’ve seen this season.

Got ourselves within 2 points after a good run in November and December, then drew at Sunderland, threw away leads against Chelsea and Brighton, and then put in our worst performance of the season at the Rags.

Got ourselves within 4 points in late February, but didn’t win another PL game after that and we only played Forest and West Ham.

Our mentality hasn’t been good when we’ve been in a good position this season. But we have a hell of a lot of players who’d never won a trophy in their careers before the EFL Cup final the other week and who’ve never been in a title race before.

Now, those who have been in a title race in our squad need to bring their experience forward, and those who haven’t need the steel from the EFL Cup final and not just shrink under the pressure like we have at other times this season.

But, as I said a few pages ago, we need to completely forget about the title and just concentrate on Chelsea. The title doesn’t exist.
All agreed but, and it’s a big but, we’ve settled on our best team now. Guehi and Khusanov look like the best centre half pairing in the world, Rodri is finally back to his best, Doku, Semenyo and Cherki are looking really dangerous and Haaland is back to his best. We’ve got more momentum now than we’ve had for 2 years plus. We suddenly look like a title winning team and we didn’t 2 months ago.
