Will we win the league this season? No

I had to busy myself sticking rubber soles to my work shoes listening to Sinatra…it’s how I deal with these moments.
Let’s do a job tomorrow now
I spent 100 minutes swimming. Then another 10 just to be fucking sure. Covered up the league table so could only see their points tally and nearly snapped me goggles when saw

Not to piss on everyone’s parade, literally.
I’m still not convinced we’ll do it.
We’ve been far too inconsistent this season and I don’t think we’ll win all our remaining games, which I believe we need to do.
Hope I’m wrong and you lot can give me shit for being a know nowt fanny if we do it : )
Nothing wrong with thinking that. You’re only going off the evidence we’ve seen this season.

Got ourselves within 2 points after a good run in November and December, then drew at Sunderland, threw away leads against Chelsea and Brighton, and then put in our worst performance of the season at the Rags.

Got ourselves within 4 points in late February, but didn’t win another PL game after that and we only played Forest and West Ham.

Our mentality hasn’t been good when we’ve been in a good position this season. But we have a hell of a lot of players who’d never won a trophy in their careers before the EFL Cup final the other week and who’ve never been in a title race before.

Now, those who have been in a title race in our squad need to bring their experience forward, and those who haven’t need the steel from the EFL Cup final and not just shrink under the pressure like we have at other times this season.

But, as I said a few pages ago, we need to completely forget about the title and just concentrate on Chelsea. The title doesn’t exist.

Got a feeling that last minute goal ruled out at Anfield is going to come back and bite us on the goal difference arse
Could easily say the same about a last minute equaliser in the home game versus Chelsea, which would be much more costly. There will be multiple instances we could look at if looking for "fine line" moments. We've just got to do our job now.

Sometimes picking up draws instead of losses is important in title seasons - we've had some not great results in 2026, but excluding European ties, we have only lost 2 times in 30 domestic games. Being hard to beat is an underrated asset.

The points we picked up v Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea, Forest, West Ham could end up being very useful. I said the same when we drew Sunderland during the Mancini run-in in 2012.

Time will tell. Of all the results it was the Spurs away one that could be costly. 2-0 up against that shite should have been 3,points

THE LEAGUE IS IN OUR HANDS….

How do you think pep and the players are feeling right now?

You think they feel winning this title is beyond them??

On paper we still have harder games than them....

Everton Away, and Bournmouth away are both very difficult

Villa at home (again!!!) last day of the season......

It starts tomorrow as well - chelsea away -

HOWEVER - the way Arsenal are playing they could literally give us the title they are playing that badly - Crystal Palace away last game of the season is very difficult and obviously us....

That Newcastle game for them at home could be tricky though the way Newcastle play (without a lot of game intelligence) they will just throw everything at Arsenal and leave themselves wide open

They have (on paper) some very winable games at home and away other than those mentioned.

Great response Blue.
Any other season and I’d be fully believing.
The game tomorrow will be telling.
We’ve let them off too many times this season.
We obviously need the win tomorrow but it’d also be nice to see a performance with energy with and without the ball.
This season we’ve been capable of beating anyone with the quality of players we’ve got.
We have also lacked the work rate and concentration required many times this season though.
Never boring being a City fan : )
My big boy pants are on and what will be will be.

Arteta described today as a punch in the face and it got me thinking about Mike Tyson saying everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.

Without an in form Odegaard and Saka I don’t think Arsenal have the ability to improvise once they get punched in the face. Whereas we have a squad who are growing into that, might still be a bit too late, and playing for free kicks and corners might enable them to still win it - I think it’ll be a huge ask for us to win every game.

But it’s possible and now reminds me of the 2019 run in. One game and one opposition at a time…

(I also hope they stay in the champs league after a nervy AET penalty shoot out win on Wednesday).

100%
We don’t need 8 wins. We need one, then take it from there

The City dressing room at Stamford Bridge pre-match will be highly motivated after the Goons most recent collapse , they will go for Chelsea from the 1st minute , the Chavs under-16 manager is clueless and his players are not a team just a bunch of self serving individuals , we are coming to boil just at the right moment. We win the next three and the title is coming home
