If this was say George W we would all be assuming he went back to alcohol but Trump doesn't drink we are told, that only leaves mental decline as the reason. He needs removing from power one way or the other.

I went through the motions of checking that this was real, even though really I already knew it was.

Any Christians who continue to support him at this point are probably self-declaring themselves to be part of an entirely different 'religion' altogether. As of early this year, Trump still broadly retained the support of over 40% of America's White Catholics, if this and the latest episode with the Pope, which has been coming, doesn't convince them they are misguided then it's hard to fathom what will.

Probably best that no one tells Trump that you don't actually have to be an ordained priest to become Pope; he'll be invading and installing Vance in the role. He'll then be halfway through the V's and can turn his attention to Vanuatu as presumably he'll once again be giving Vietnam a swerve.

Vance is married and married men cannot become Bishops. The Pope is also “Bishop of Rome”, so Vance, even if nominated to be Pope (as a baptised Catholic male) couldn’t be ordained as a bishop and couldn’t therefore become Pope.
But I wouldn’t put it past Trump giving it a go.

In the future (assuming the world has one) there will be a trivial pursuit question "Who was the one and only recipient of the FIFA peace prize?" If the answer isn't "The war criminal Mango Shitgibbon" then the world hasn't learned a lesson
