It’s been years since we won this league comfortably. I don’t think Pep likes winning it with months to spare. Bald maniac.
Adebayor doing his celebration all those years ago didn't harm City performances & neither should this really. No but he makes a good point about Arteta using it as a galvanizing force. Publicly trashing another team always has a nasty way of coming back to bite you.
That win put Liverpool 2 points clear with 4 games to go for each team. With us having a much better goal difference, even 1 draw from Liverpool could put us back on top. And as we know, they had (a then very strong) Chelsea still to play. The dippers beat us at their place deep into the 2014 run in to gain a psychological advantage or so it was claimed. Look how that turned out for them.
Next week is a massive game but it’s not must win
Not by much, average position of teams against them 12th to our 9th.On paper, Arsenal have an easier run in, but football is played on grass, not paper.
That’s the main doubt in my mindNo
We’ve won every title that’s gone to the wire. This time we won’t
I fancy both West Ham and Newcastle to take points of them
I can see this happening but only if we win the next 2.
It's about pressure with Arsenal. If we drop points before they play Newcastle, they'll relax and roll them over.
Arsenal look like they are stressed out but why? Against Bournemouth they were 9 points clear. If anything, the pressure was on City. It was almost win or bust for City at Chelsea.
Arsenal looked tense but in reality they should have been relatively relaxed. They were playing for a 12 point lead against Bournemouth. That's a dream scenario.
...but the Man City juggernaut in the rear view mirror isn't.Arsenal look like they are stressed out but why? Against Bournemouth they were 9 points clear. If anything, the pressure was on City. It was almost win or bust for City at Chelsea.

1976/77 went pretty much to the wire.No

We went to shit after that game and he basically retired after a good start.Adebayor doing his celebration all those years ago didn't harm City performances & neither should this really.
I meant in the last 14/15 years1976/77 went pretty much to the wire.
Ok.I meant in the last 14/15 years
Yeah, I knowOk.
You could add 1971-72 to that pre-PL list too.
That goal was his apogee. We went to shit after that game and he basically retired after a good start.
He was never the same again for us.
They had a nine point lead. I know City had a game in hand and they still have to play City but it's not that stressful surely. I think the bottling is over done and it's simply their turgid football as you say. Not that it really matters.Arsenal are stressed because they are on the cusp of a bottle that they will NEVER recover from right from the players to the supporters. The whole country wants to to see them fail for two main reasons. The turgid football they play and the sheer arrogance they display when they have done nothing of any real relevance in over 20 years.
Not saying you don’t. In fact I’d be surprised if you didn’t.Yeah, I know
