Good to see the goals being shared around this season
does beg the question - if Haaland is injured then where do goals come from. Marmoush well down that list.
He's down that list because Haaland hasn't been injured much. Unfair to criticise a lack of goals when has had a lack of game time.does beg the question - if Haaland is injured then where do goals come from. Marmoush well down that list.
It’s because he’s barely played. We’d have plenty of goals with him and Semenyo in the front 3.does beg the question - if Haaland is injured then where do goals come from. Marmoush well down that list.
Pep no doubt trying to see how he can adapt and what he can do.So much better when wider. Was baffled when we kept playing him central. It not only cocked up his game, it fucked up Haaland too
Pep early in the season tried a tactic of getting Doku more central off the left and he did look dangerous especially with his dribbling. But that dragged an extra defender into the box as he is always double marked. I think he used that and doesn’t get Doku near the box as it drags the two men away while getting Nico O’Reilly into those spaces that Doku used to occupy. With Nico’s physicality he dominates the space on the ground as well as in the air.Good to see the goals being shared around this season
Stand outs for me are Nico, Cherki and Semenyo
Nico played most of the season at left back, Semenyo only been here 3 months, and Cherki certainly hasn't been a regular all season
Interesting to see Foden is still our 2nd goalscorer, but good to see Reijnders up there as well
At the other end its poor to see the returns of Doku and Savinho, which is becoming a bit of a recurrence
EDIT: just checked and I cant believe Savinho has only one league goal in a City shirt (46 apps) and that Doku has 7 (80 apps)
Brilliant observation mate, make a lot of sense and shows how coaches earn their corn.Pep early in the season tried a tactic of getting Doku more central off the left and he did look dangerous especially with his dribbling. Savinho, well as bad as his numbers are I’m still convinced there is a top player in there. And he is young aswell.
Interestingly there was a twitter thread released last year that talked specifically about Savinho’s bio mechanics when he comes to striking the ball. Safe to say they are terrible lol, but I personally think it’s something he needs to seriously work on, aswell as confidence and composure. Mental side of the game.
Did all the work to win it then his touch turned into a pass putting the pressure bang on Kova
Couple of games ago, Rodri tried to bring the ball out of defense, and fucked up, he turned round to his defense and was giving his defense a right rollocking, till he saw it was Semenyo behind him, he is not just good going forward.
