History, Tradition, Class... I'm sure we'll hear a lot on that from Arsenal, the media, Arsenal fans over the coming days, so I've done this City v Arsenal comparison of historical achievements. It might be useful to shut people up or remind them:

Manchester City v Arsenal: History Comparison
‘History Tradition Class’ is often used on Arsenal banners (particularly when they play City it seems; there was one at Wembley) and with the two sides meeting on Sunday (19 April 2026)…gjfootballarchive.com
I agree, we've hit form, are playing with confidence and have a week to prepare. Why is anyone nervous about Arsenal? We're flying right now and honestly their squad doesn't come close to ours on paper. Win this at home, easy.
Kinda disagree, I think they have a very good squad, parity with ours imo.Why is anyone nervous about Arsenal? We're flying right now and honestly their squad doesn't come close to ours on paper. Win this at home, easy.
Only hard work, organisation and team spirit is gonna beat Arsenal, well that and a goal or two ..... they have topped the league almost all season, and right now, have more wins and points that we have ..... so yes, we must show confidence and a real willingness to work for each other, but we must NOT be 'over confident', complacent and half asleep ..... they have players who can hurt us !Why is anyone nervous about Arsenal? We're flying right now and honestly their squad doesn't come close to ours on paper. Win this at home, easy.
Actually hope that they beat Sporting. The semis v Atletico will be very tough, but they won't want to pass up the chance of a CL Final and that could cost them in the league - Arteta won't know which one to target, and in current form I can see them losing one or two more regardless of the result on Sunday.I think Arsenal will go for the draw. I'm hoping Sporting run them ragged this week. If Sporting can score first, I think Arsenal's belief and mentality will begin to cave in. Yes, I'm sure that doubt and unease are already there after Bournemouth loss but - if Sporting can get a goal, Arsenal will be in trouble.
Still, we have work to do to unlock what will likely be a low block.
Disagree. You can never tell which are the games you're going to win and which you're likely to lose. They lost at home to Bournemouth when just about everybody had it down as a home banker. Nobody expected Southampton to knock them out of the cup, or Wolves to come back for a draw after being 2-0 down.We play Palace at home not away. Arse have to go to Selhurst. But objectively our remaining games are materially harder than Arse's. That may not mean much given they are playing of course.
I think he's expecting to get past Lisbon fairly comfortably and is saving them for SundaySaka, Rice, Eze, Odegaard all missing from Arsenal training
If we drop points at Burnley we don’t deserve to be anywhere near the title. They are absolute toshDisagree. You can never tell which are the games you're going to win and which you're likely to lose. They lost at home to Bournemouth when just about everybody had it down as a home banker. Nobody expected Southampton to knock them out of the cup, or Wolves to come back for a draw after being 2-0 down.
You just dont know. I think both teams will drop more points and if we do I bet it's somewhere daft like Burnley.
Yep. All he needed to say was something like Arsene winjer used to say.. "I didnt see it, what are you talking about" and just move on. And his remark tells me that he might actually think that it was a goons fan with the bottle. Weird man.Arteta’s response to the bottle piss take was telling in my opinion. He looks like he’s cracking. His comments about being ‘on fire’ were hilarious. He looked ready to burst into tears. Arsenal fans must be embarrassed..
Why is anyone nervous about Arsenal? We're flying right now and honestly their squad doesn't come close to ours on paper. Win this at home, easy.
Fuck it I want arsenal to have to play in the cauldron of the Metropolitana and face a Simeone team twice, get 3 injuries and lose to a last minute corner by a defender pushing Raya and not disallowed by VAROkay folks, which would you rather:
Arsenal compound their failure and misery by being eliminated, psychologically ruining them.
Arsenal get the boost of progressing through, but then having to balance two more vital games in an already vital time?
Tough one but I went them to lose, losing breeds losing
I am with you. I want the crumble to continue. Were they to lose against Sporting, I think their game would deteriorate further.Okay folks, which would you rather:
Arsenal compound their failure and misery by being eliminated, psychologically ruining them.

Probably because many of us have been supporting them for decades & we know how football is unpredictable! Why is anyone nervous about Arsenal? We're flying right now and honestly their squad doesn't come close to ours on paper. Win this at home, easy.
