I had to do this too.

For all I slag off the ticket office…the queue and ticket selection for Wembley is typically a very painless experience.

Made more painless by buying the cheap seats, £90 for me and three kids. The train tickets costs double that.
I paid £60 for a Over 65 ticket and also £80 for a train from Preston to Euston.
It'll be worth it if City get through to a 4th consecutive final.

3x adult returns Warwick Parkway to High Wycombe (£24 each). Groupsave kicks in at 3 people - denoted by the G symbol here

And High Wycombe to Wembley (ignore the train times) £12.70 each.

I make that £3.30 cheaper than the Super OP, but that's with the group save, so only an advantage if in a group of multiples of 3 and having to travel together.

500 loyalty points should have been awarded, and the chance to buy a final ticket also, i would change the criteria to if you have been to 2 cup games and the semi final you can leapfrog those who are not on the scheme and done no games at all

It might be the wording in my original post. I was saying it should be about £40 (compared to somebody quoting £54) when using Groupsave - it wasn’t meant to read £40 before the discount. And other railcards are usually better value than Groupsave anyway.

Southampton now have a very realistic chance of automatic promotion

They play Ipswich 72 hours after playing us which could be huge

They might prioritise the league game and rest a few at Wembley

We shouldn’t need them to do this but every little helps

I'm not sure they want a 5-0 drubbing like Sheffield United received the other year when in the Championship and faced us in the semi final. They haven't come this far to rest a few players.

Southampton will not rest a single player at Wembley, not a one. Both teams will be max available strength.

Agree. Can't see Southampton taking it easy when they're so keen to push the 50th anniversary of the 1976 final when they, as a second division team, beat some no-hope top division jokers.

My brother had a poster of Bobby Stokes on his wall for years. Then replaced it with one of Alan Sunderland.

Looking at the Cup Final winning team against the rags. Consisted of players like McCalliog, Channon, and Osgood. Not forgetting Stokes. Pretty decent side.

After the rags won that game there were plans to parade both cups around the swamp as the derby there had been delayed to the last game of the season.

I ended up with tickets in their end, never ever again!!!!!

We lost 2-1 and one cup was in Southampton and the other safely stashed in Moss Side.
