Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

Does anyone listen to The Screen Rot podcast? I absolutely love it, except for when Jacob Hawley (a massive Arsenal fan) talks about our club in any way. He can't hide his bitter venom. On the latest episode of The Rot Bar he said The Athletic cancelling their podcast about us half way through the treble season 'Says it all about our shithole soulless club'. What on earth does he mean by that - what could that possibly mean and how - pray tell - does us having a 'smaller fanbase' than other 'big six' clubs make us soulless?

Is he right about this anyway? Why was The Athletics podcast cancelled?

ANyway just had to vent. I usually like that podcast but I'm sick of Hawley's bileful slander.

Maybe the City fans never got on board with the Athletic after the contempt they showed us.

I've never heard of Jason Hawley and i don't care what he or any other podcast hater thinks. I care what ordinary football Joe's in the street think a lot more.

Was down London last weekend to see The Damned but managed to get a ticket for the game. I spoke to several supporters of London clubs and they all said they want us to win the league at Arsenal's expense because they think Arsenal fans are nauseous and insufferable. I hardly spoke to any Arsenal fans because they were all sick as a fuckin' parrot that'd just lost it's tongue!
 
Ex Swansea manager Carvahal was on white and Jordan. They had him do a tactical lesson on how Sporting can beat Arsenal, which I can imagine would have pissed the Arsenal fans off enough. Then, at the end of his stint they more or less urged him to say City will end up winning the title.

Some very angry Gooners around after that little section!

Winding its listeners up so much that they phoned in or sent an email or tweet or whatever is exactly what that shitstain of a radio station wants and needs to keep going.

It’s been funny today. They’ve been having the betting companies do odds and predictions. They all said us. Danny Murphy said the same too.

Piss boiling for the Gooners.
 
Chatted to arsenal fan today at office. Just on letting previously as he is not office based and only pops in sporadically. Hes local but didnt find out why he liked the arse. Said we werre favourites as they had lost it
