20 | Bernardo Silva - 2025/26

Blessed with the touch of an angel, the running ability of Abebe Bikila, and the brattitude of the biggest Bert.

My favourite player, not the greatest, but my absolute favourite.
His namesake was/is my favourite player. And David Silva never had a poor season. B Bernado was pretty poor last season and season before iirc ?

BS had been a great player overall though, but let's be honest. If he went through the motions this season looking burned out like previous recent seasons we'd not be too arsed about him leaving. The fact is though is this season he looks rejuvenated and up for it hence why plenty of us would like another season out of him including myself.

Maybe summer is time for him to go if he wants out but he's been unsettled for a few seasons here, allegedly. I wish him well wherever he goes.

We will miss him hugely, not just for his talent but the hard work he puts in every game, puts a lot of other players to shame with his work rate.
All the best Sire & thanks for everything

Pep seemingly doesn’t know anything about him leaving ?!
Perhaps someone has jumped the gun and expects Silva to leave? It seems from the conference, Guardiola knows nothing about it and asked Silva to let him know first, which you think he would have done. Maybe he hasn’t made his mind up yet then? I hope not and he decides to stay another couple of years. After all he is only 31.

Is it one of those Fabrizio Romano jumping the gun and everyone believing things again?

This is interesting, it seems Pep really wants him to stay, but the minor Pep seems to have said he will go. Personally I think he is worth keeping for at least another season, but if he is determined to leave, so be it.

It always stings when a long serving club legend moves on, but his exit, whenever it comes, will hit me harder than any others.

Love the guy and I will always maintain he is criminally underrated, even by many blues. He just does everything well, and is the heart and soul of the team. You could put him just about anywhere on the pitch and feel confident he'd give you an 8/10 performance and leave it all on the pitch. Legend.

Popped up on a random site that Villa are after him on a free.... Why the fuck do they think he would he leave us and rock up in Brum?

I have watched City since 1967 and he is easily in my top 10 of all time. Gutted to see him leave. I think we will fall short in the league but I would love to see him lift the FA Cup. Absolute warrior.

Gutted, thanks for everything Bernie, he'll be a bigger loss than some on here seem to think.
All the very best for whatever you do next
