Will we win the league this season? No

It doesn't matter whether we've been good enough ALL season, it's about the here and now and our current form is very good. The only thing I would say is our run in has some tough fixtures (arn't they all) Going into the last game against Villa with all to play for will be unbearable for the fans but the same could be said for arsenal vs palace. It'll be a question of who holds their nerve the best.
I've posted elsewhere there's very little difference in standard of who we have to play.

As of today the average league position of our opponents is 9th and the throbber's 12th.

The equivalent of us playing Brighton every game and them Fulham. Brighton would be 'harder' but they've won the last three games so perhaps a bit higher than they'd normally be.

I dare say at this stage of the season it's more difficult to play a team in 16th/17th than it is a team in 11th anyway.

No way are we winning the league, no way are spuds going down and no way is Carwreck not getting the rags job.

Just for context the GLW is always telling me I am wrong so hopefully the law of averages………………..

West Ham away is the game I think.

The dates/times for Matchweek 37 when Arsenal play Burnley haven't been confirmed yet. Definitely won't be on Saturday due to the FA Cup final but could be on Friday, Sunday or Monday.

Hopefully Villa are in the Europa League final the Wed before they play us, ET and penalties even better but they win it they'll celebrate like fuck and our game will practically mean nothing to them as they'll already have qualified for Champions League.

Here's hoping. Couldn't live with another Gundogan type moment getting to old.

After the European games it's noticeable how England's CL clubs have struggled but the Europa League and Conference teams have done well. This suggests that the top of the Premier League is relatively weak, but it has good depth in comparison to European leagues. I think the strength of the Premier League midtable makes it a little harder for the PL to be dominated by 1-2 clubs although it has happened before.

If Villa make it through to the Europa League final (they’re playing Forest in the semi), the final is on 20 May in Istanbul—so only three days’ rest before our final match. And if they actually win it, they’ll barely have time to sober up before kick-off at the Etihad.
And would have already secured Champions League place by winning it?

Could be a similar situation with Palace and their conference semi final. Surely they will be prioritising that over a game at the Etihad....if we ever actually get a date for the game that is

Arse play them last game of the season & the palace final would be 3 days after. Ideally we want a Villa win and Palace to go out in the Semis so we can play them Weds 13th.
