Referees' Performances | 2025/26

Haaland's shirt ripped and they were giving a throw in rather than a free kick until they saw the rip.
You were right first time. He saw the rip and still gave a throw. He gesticulated that it was 50/50 with the wrestling. How can that be the case when Haaland wants to run after a ball and Gabriel wants to stop him. It just beggars belief.

Two major events went arsenal why, how does that happen ? I thought var was meant to stop this.

Same player Gabriel first handball stopping a possible goal. Clear penalty and red card.
Second half clear head butt by Gabriel clear red card.

Two big moments both going arsenal way.

A manc ref trying to show he isnt biased or a manc rag ref wanting City to lose ?

Overall not bad but baffling how he and var got the two major decisions wrong

In Berlin at the mo and just seen the highlights. How the fuck did Erl and that twat Gabriel end up with the same punishment? Fucking hate the bald rag **** with a passion.
Imagine if Gabriel had equalised after not receiving a stonewall red card and for me we should have had a pen early doors when the ball was deflected a defenders
onto the post.
Pep and the players know what we're up against with pigmol which makes our achievements truly special.

The penalty call to be fair was right it hit just below his shoulder but apart from that he’s was a twat.

Taylor was fucking disgraceful nevermind the sending off for the headbutt, the decision he made to give Raya a free kick after he slipped kicking the ball out when his back was turned and on the halfway line, he didn’t even see it and awarded him a free kick absolute joke of a referee,
I think it was Madueke falling over and grabbing the ball and getting a free kick, no touch on him whatsoever. Lino was 2 yards away too.

Not naive. Just not part of the clan on here who think they’re all against. I guarantee the Arsenal fans right now are fucking livid with him.
Mind, weren't they livid with him pre-match? They don't know the half of the it that Taylor carries around with him re City games. Did we ever get an explanation of the Aquero 'n Luiz fiasco, and the CFC game where we had two sent off? Four red cards but only two given, both to us.

The VAR is there to overrule a decision by the ref
No its not, its to see things that the onfield ref may have missed and ask them to review on video This was another of those convenient excuses that if he had sent him off VAR wouldn't have got involved

That lino fitted in well with the rest of the useless flag wavers we seem to get on CB stand. I thought Donna was gonna get a yellow for remonstrating with him after our goalie had been slammed to the floor and no flag wave. It might, of course, be part of Taylor's instructions - anything in the area is mine, ALL MINE! I did like the Pep comment about us being the first team to be penalised for fouling a goalie!

But do we know for certain that Taylor saw the headbutt. There were a fair number of players in front of him. He could have put it down to the rough-house that Gabriel had been doling out all the game and all of which seem perfectly within the LotG as Taylor applied them. I can't help but think that had Erl gone down in a heap and this morning carries an egg=shaped bump on his forehead he would have had a yellow card to his name. But the trouble with VAR is that we haven't a fuckin' clue how it works. There might be some written script on the PiGMOL 'n FA websites, but it's application remains a mystery, shrouded in incompetent and variable application.

We dont know what he saw, but as I said VAR is there to spot things and bring the ref's attention to it The protocol is for VAR to ask the ref what he saw if he dint include the head butt in his explanation then they would advise him to go to the monitor for a review
