Probably a good sign that this hasn't been created yet.

Thought he should have got his yellow cards out earlier, tactical foul on Doku and a rash tackle from Larsen on Lewis, both should have been booked.

Also rather predicatable that we got the 1st yellow and the most yellows.

Other than that fairly unnoticeable, 6/10.

Did the usual was poor (corner not allowed to be taken at the end of the first half), then when the game was won started penalising them to balance his decisions up.
He absolutely should not have allowed the corner to be taken.
Let’s hope they all do the same and they also stop the game when time’s up, wherever the ball happens to be.

Tbf re the corner it was around 25 seconds over the min time added on
All I would say in that case is be consistent. It's an unwritten rule that if a corner is given at the end of a half, the referee will allow it to be played before blowing. It's almost always the case, just like they will also wait for the ball to be cleared by the opposing team after a corner is taken before blowing the whistle. So when it doesn't happen, it's extremely annoying and hard to see why.

I assume there's some sort of guidance about only blowing for the end of half when the ball is in play, because the other one that annoys me is making the goalkeeper take a goal kick and then immediately blowing the whistle when the ball is in the air. What's the point of that?

He spent from recollection a good 30 seconds talking to their players during added time.

Just part of a culmination of giving us as little as possible.

I'm surprised even the Prem had the balls to put the FAC VAR official on our first game too.

Only in the PL and its a contradiction of the clock is ticking when the ball is out of play
Happened in the Leeds v Everton game last night it had gone past the 7mins added on GK to Everton Pickford rushed to take the kick and then he blew for time

Said it many times play should continue until the ball goes out of play

Agree with everything apart from the rating - 4/10 and that's being generous!

Thought about lumping on Erling for Golden Boot, but now torn as I find a city player to be booked first in all our games might work out more profitable

Up to the cup final var debacle I’d considered Gillett to be the best of a not too impressive bunch of PGMOL referees. However, Saturday’s performance has put him back in the pack. Obvious yellows missed in the first half, perhaps he’d left them in the dressing room, but then given in the second half. But no absolute howlers.

It’s a good question actually. We all know about Arsenal’s “invincibles” season but has a team ever gone through the entire season getting the first yellow card in every single game?

I don't think I'd win every game as the odd game no cards might be shown.
Just as I reckon Erling won't score in every game we play.
What I am saying is after watching closely the last few years, there seems a pattern emerging from refs in our game's
No matter how many fouls occur against us, the first booking regularly goes to a city player.

Fair enough and all that..we.want is consistency

Gillette is being groomed to be the number one PiGMOL ref.

He's got the Arse game this weekend.
