Gabriel headbutt on Haaland

No it hasn’t, some refs give it, some don’t. There’s nothing saying any headbutt motion is a red card, it’s whether the ref deems it violent conduct.

Personally I don’t consider it as that as it’s more rutting stags than a headbutt for me, no one is actually going to get injured, whereas an actual headbutt they would. I get most don’t see it that way though and I said a few times yesterday, I think now they have to change the laws of the game and be a lot more descriptive with them.

It’s incredible anyone can even begin to argue a headbutt (regardless of force) isn’t a red card.

Gabriel headbutted Haaland. That is factual.

We’re well down the rabbit hole if people are claiming it’s not a red card.

was sat in top deck of east and we all saw it clear as day, absolutely flabbergasted the ref a few yards away didn’t, he did. he bottled it & the media spin that “we don’t want players been sent off for that” What violent conduct connecting with head buts on an opponent? and the other nonsense of “if Gabriel had of scored or effected the game post the incident, then it could of been problematic” completely forgetting they would be without their best centre back for 3 title run in matches where he can stop them conceding and drawing or losing matches or even more obviously he’s their main threat at set pieces & corners some would say their only only threat attacking wise, what are the odds on him having a major effect in one at least of the next 3 games, to be absolutely honest i’m fuming with the cheating officials and VAR it’s a disgrace
Also although arms by his side he leaned in and deflected the ball onto the post with his arm , penalty all day for me . The Cnut

Let’s have it right, he didn’t headbutt him. If he had headbutted him in the manner of which the term means, Haaland would be in surgery correcting his nose, and Gabriel would be in court.

He pushed his head into Haaland’s face. It should have been a red card, not doubting that, but he certainly didn’t headbutt him.

Is that not considered Violent conduct which translates to an automatic red card? It is.

Can you name a single time a head butt motion was not met with an automatic red? The Vinicius one on Kilman was given a yellow but was not the same as he was getting up from the ground, and regardless the officials (and the match referee) confirmed it should have been given as red card after the match.

Nothing will be done retrospectively,as that would mean Arsenal their best defender for 3 games, although if there is any sort of justice hopefully he sticks the ball into his own net in their next game and lose or draw because of it ..

This was a red last season:

Demot Gallagher 10 seconds into video below saying Schar had to go:

And he doesn't think Gabriel's is a red, clown. Basically said the lad went down so has to be a red.

And that one is nowhere near as bad as what Gabriel did.

‘In the modern game, I don’t think that would be anything other than a red card’

‘Players have been briefed that that will always be a red card’

To

‘There’s not enough aggression in it to make it a red’

Dermot on ssn ref watch.
“I think it was a fair outcome, they were both aggressive”
Well Haaland’s pushed Gabriel and he’s tried headbutt him.
How the fuck is that similar?
He also said.”I don’t think it’s violent conduct”
Absolute cunts!
Quite literally making excuses for him.

I’ve just watched Micah say on The Rest Is Football with Lineker and Shearer that “you don’t want to see players sent off for that”. I shit you not. Micah, I know you’re never going to see this, but on the minuscule chance that you do - go fuck yourself. Once a blue not always a blue.
Micah makes an irrelevant comment. There is a difference between how you think laws should be interpreted (such as my views on the all in wrestling at every corner, which has been developed by arsenal) and how they are interpreted in practice. Whether he likes it or not, Gabriel’s forehead thrust is always a red card, or was until yesterday.

So, is he getting retrospectively charged?
Nope as the media did not put it on a 24 loop. He should get a charge but we all know the corruption that is going on with PGMOL, us and Arsenal this season.
Guarantee you that if roles were reversed yesterday, Taylor wouldn’t have hesitated to give them a penalty for the handball and Haaland would have seen red for the head in face.
Yesterday’s ref and Var was nothing short of corruption which we all knew would happen as soon as Taylor got the appointment but we overcame it.
How John Brooks on Var did not bring the headbutt to his attention but just less than a week earlier, got the Rag sent off for touching hair

Micah is a total prick
He acts a clown to keep his job
and he wonders why the fans don’t like him
More interested in being in his little media club than saying what he really thinks

Dermot is another prick
The refs are all arseholes. That’s why they are reffing
Know fuck all about football, they just love to creat shit that doesn’t matter and ignore the real issues
Footballs version of traffic wardens

Should be at least his 2nd red this season, so should be a 4 game ban now I think about it.

He avoided a blatant 2nd yellow at Brentford for cleaning out a player, didn't mind so much as Brentford still took points off of them but he got away with murder there too.

Are retrospective bans still a thing? Seems to be an unspoken rule now that if var passes any decision, correct or incorrect, then there can be no follow up action.

They can literally then even say var got it wrong and issue the class Webb pointless apology, without actually going back and applying retrospective action.

That's my understanding. If an incident is missed by the referee and var, then a retrospective ban can happen, I think. But once reviewed and decided in the game, don't think it can be retrospectively overturned.

Happy to be corrected if anyone knows otherwise?

I kind of respect you sticking to your guns on this, but you're having a mare.

As Clattenburg stated, it's a yellow card each for the head to head. The subsequent aggressive movement of Gabriel's head, upgrades his yellow to a red.

Or are you suggesting that the same sanction for both players reflects accurately on the behaviour of both players?

No, I’d have given Gabriel a yellow card and not booked Haaland. Clattenburg is perfectly entitled to think the way he does but I don’t agree with him, which is fine too :)

I genuinely think, only in top level football, people have completely changed the definition of what a headbutt is.

We had one against Brighton a few years ago.

Sky must have endless clips of headbutts over the years that resulted in sending offs. Show them to Gallagher and ask him the difference. Let him squirm his way out trying to protect his mate
