The one I was brought up with72-76 is the one. Wasn’t even born and I recognise it as our proper badge.
It was.The fucking eagle and stars of previous badge was just wrong
Yeah, that will always be the proper City badge for me. I hated the eagle badge. I remember seeing it for the first time: It was a real "WTF!?" moment. For me anyway.
It's the simplicity and understatement of the round badge I've always liked. Eagles and stuff like that reminds me of the rags or Liverpool with their stupid devils and birds and whatnot. I agree that the current one is over designed, but it's close enough to the ones from the 70s, 80s and early 90s I guess.I’m starting to hate the one we’ve got now. It’s over-designed.
I think the eagle badge would work without the 3 stars above it. Lot more interesting than a round badge.
Don't think we can sadly. Maybe wrong but Swales fucked up not copyrighting it or sold it?
I would be happy to receive one without that shite on the side. Not as bad when worn, but a bit odd. When I see stuff like this I always think it must be to make it more awkward for the fakers somehow.

RagIt amazes me how many grown men wear republica kits and club gear. I know a good few on here will do it but I’ve not owned a shirt or anything City stuff since I was a teenager
I never wanted it, never liked it and never want it back.Is it just me that’s starting to miss the eagle badge?

1960s & 1970-72 for me
I never wanted it, never liked it and never want it back.
United wore it on their 1958 FA Cup final kit and their fan groups have started using it again in the last decade since we ditched it.

I think of it as a Rag logo that we borrowed for a bit between our proper style of City badge.

There is somewhat of a trend of clubs using their old crests on away kits. Might be cool if puma did something like that.
