Think it’s correct actually, albeit inadvertently most likely. The apostrophe denotes the part of the word where the letters have been omitted from ‘pictures’. @johnnytapia will have the answer!Unnecessary apostrophe alert

Had some professional dealings recently with a lovely Irish fellah who has a double barrelled name, and both the names are O’ such and such, but there’s no hyphen in between the names, presumably by convention.The only one that springs to mind is fo’c’sle.
