I worked with a guy in the 80's who served in the Royal Navy on the same aircraft carrier Andrew was stationed on.

He said he looked after his entorage very well, but never mixed with the rest of the crew and was generally disliked because of the distance he maintained from them.

As I think most of us do. Those victims deserve better.
However, look at it this way..."state secrets" don't have to just cover the odd tip on the financial markets, they cover loads more. Defence for one.
That's where it gets very important.

Mandelson, the Labour stalwart of over 30 to 40 years, is a complete twat and has possibly willingly divulged stuff to people who have absolutely no business knowing anything about this nations dealings and affairs.
That's how bad this is.

I watched the Private Eye podcast and they mentioned that one of the reasons he was protected by the media is that he was the sort of person to gossip and leak the big stories to them.

I was on an Armourers course with the crew of HMS Bronington back in in the day and to a man they said our King (Prince Charles as he was then -their Commanding Officer at the time) was sound as fuck -so they aren’t all bad
