But football doesn’t work like that. I think if either one of us or Arsenal win all our games, that team will win the title. Not sure either will. TBH if you asked Arsenal players now would they take a 1-0 against Newcastle on Saturday. Every single player would. No one would twist. Wins are the most important thing. The likelihood of it going down to GD is far less likely than by clear points, so points is what you play for and GD is a bonus.

I think you’re spot on, the chances of both teams winning all remaining games is very slim. Now let’s see how they do, they’ll also be thinking Newcastle at home is an easy game - it may not turn out that way!

Well at least with the win the pressure now goes back on Arsenal, and they really know they can't afford any more mistakes. They now have to go and beat Newcastle and Fulham before we play next. Any slip up and we'll know we just need to keep getting 3 points.

missed a chance to put extra pressure on them with GD. it would have been great to force them to outscore opponents and have this extra layer of pressure for them.

Precisely, an early Newcastle goal and Arsenal will be panicking pushing forward and leaving gaps. An early goal and maintaining the lead is a necessity even if nothing else materialises like tonight. You live to fight another day so to speak.
