45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

He is so young so naturally there are things he needs to improve. But what a player.
100%. It's not normally an issue tbh and he's always got the recovery pace, just something that I noticed. Ridiculous player though

This thread is the perfect example how some here are never satisfied

I love him but I think his positioning was a bit poor in the first half - his recovery pace masked it a bit. Second half he was better. Great player

It's been a tough few months, with big games and high pressure. I think there's been some sloppy play from all of the back 4 over the past couple of games. We were awful in possession at the back against Arsenal, were wide open at times last night and cut open a bit too easily.

This weekend is a welcome distraction for the team. We can rest some, get others up to speed and hopefully get another positive boost from making the FA Cup final.

What is interesting is his development in such a short space of time. Last season and even early doors this, he was rash into challenges and dived in on many occasions. He is learning very quickly when and when not to make these challenges, when to use his pace and strength, when to bide his time etc. Give him another 12 months training and playing with Dias, Guehi etc and the further improvement will be incredible. He has the potential to be one of our great centre halfs and dare I say it a PL great. It's just a pity that he won't have an extra season with Stones and probably Ake to learn from. Once Gvardiol is fit does Dias become 4th choice?

Tarquin tactics never change
VAR decisions are very strange
Where were you while we were getting high.
slowly waltzing past em all
faster than a cannonball
Where were you when were you when Khusa got us by.
January found us caught without a backline
just a Champagne Khusanova n Max Alleyne.
a champagne Khusanova a champagne khusanova n Max Alleyne.

I'll get me coat.

It's a stretch but I think this could be epic and he deserves an original song

If he just stays at the same level he's been at this month he's already one of the best signings of the last 5 years.
