Only the Rags with the luck they have can win a game where the had 4 shots, 1 on target v 21 shots to the opposition. Though see Oliver did the usual carding in injury time to make out he was fair.
They were always going to qualify for the CL though with their squad and only playing once a month or so so this result doesn’t really affect much.
 
They have one player only, after all their spending, who can actually play at a relatively high level. Rat face may not be everyone’s cup of tea but if it weren’t for him they would be nowhere (again). They need to keep him but he is not getting any younger and needs replacing. They are losing the fat Brazilian as well so that’s two midfielders they need already. The CL might actually not be a good thing for them next season, as their squad still looks light after the money spent.

Yep ratface is a quality player but rags want to build a team around a 31 year old we have silva same age maybe a bit younger moving on after winning it all! Now that’s the difference! They relying on a 31 year old! Cuna for them is a very good player but he is not a play maker he is mainly a goal scorer!

We had David Silva at 31 but we also had the likes of De Bruyne, Gundo and Bernardo Silva who could create as well. We’ve seen with Salah and KDB that once you get to a certain age the drop off in performances can be huge when Father Time catches up to you.

The clamour for fernandes to be player of the year is a joke. He played in both cup ties that saw them get knocked out at first opportunity. If he plays every game til the end of the season, the part timer will have played 37 games in all comps. Bernardo will have played 53.

Surely a player of the season contender has to play a full season!

And he’s still scored less goals this season than Phil Foden.
